In a bid to provide job opportunities for 12,000 graduating beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Antonio Lagdameo Jr. leads the ‘Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas’ Job Fair and other government services at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in the City of Manila on January 31, 2025.
Spearheaded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), today’s event offers job opportunities from 94 participating employers.
This one-stop shop job fair features an orientation on the services offered by participating government agencies. These include financial assistance of PhP3,000 for 4Ps members to cover pre-employment requirements, such as medical examinations and transportation allowances.
Moreover, DOLE conducts an orientation on its ‘Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers’ (TUPAD) program for the 1,000 fire victims from Isla Puting Bato in Tondo, City of Manila.
The event also features ‘Kadiwa ng Pangulo’ stalls offering affordable basic goods directly from the farmers to the consumers to address food inflation and ensure food security. Under this initiative, the Department of Agriculture (DA) provides seminars for those interested in starting their small businesses.
This One-Stop-Shop (OSS) for government pre-employment and advisory services includes the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Pag-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, Philippine National Police (PNP), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Social Security System (SSS), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
