Yeah I feel you. In 5 years I've only managed to produce 66 videos. I barely upload maybe 2 videos per month. Not even that sometimes. I am simply unable to sustain more than that. There's so much time-consuming work going on behind the scenes, that's why I am tired of people claiming that UA-cam is not real work. If you think about it, it is, actually.
I think this is especially true for smaller creators like us, since we're all on our own. We don't have an editing team behind us to outsource our clips to or something like that. For me, even uploading 2 times per week constantly would be unsustainable. My latest Xianghua Legendary run took me like a whole week of trials to realize it. And that's just the recording part. I don't think I have even edited out the dead loading times there like in my latest videos.
And even in the remote chance that I upload something, it just sits unlisted within my channel for 2 or 3 days because I am so insecure lol

Post. Just post. Don’t let your videos sit in unlisted D: but yeah I wish I had editors so I can learn from them but also possibly never have to look at another editing program again 🫠 Depending on what game I’m recording for or stream or calibur, editing, rendering, and posting can take between 3 hours to sometimes 8 and I’m just not up for it anymore. LOOL

@@DannyValkyria it takes me a similar time as well. It really makes me think that, we have wasted so much time behind editing stuff and we did not earn any money from it, and it gets exhausting. Like you, I just don't want to look at any editing program anymore.
I have another legendary run in the planning but I didn't start production yet. Don't know when I will do that. And rest assured, even after completion, it will sit unlisted for 2 or 3 days as always lol

Felt the whole content creation thing, i've only been working on one video for a while and just writing the script took me months. And now I've spent the last couple of days just staring at a mostly empty sony vegas timeline. No matter what you decide to do from now on, know that we're here to support you. And thank you for all the laughs and sick gameplay

WHY ARE ALL MY UA-camRS LEAVING

  • @Amesang

I'd certainly be sad to see you go! 😭 While I keep this up as just something to do to kill time (especially choosing the "easy" route of mainly just livestreaming), I won't deny that there are days when I don't want to play anything at all (and I've been taking way too many "days off" as a result). If nothing else it'll give me a reason to hang around Twitch more often since I hardly visit the site anymore. I would love to host more Casual lobbies in _SCVI_ but they're so busted; it's frustrating being a spectator and getting kicked back to the lobby due to the issues between the Xbox One and Series X/S consoles (and I recall the PS4 / PS5 have the same issue).
2:38 I feel like I'm being called out here, ha ha. 😏 I get it, though; the reason I rarely upload "properly edited" videos isn't because I don't know how, per se; one problem is that the audio / video editor I _do_ have relies on DOS _command lines,_ and the other problem is that I'm so obsessed with maintaining "high" video quality but UA-cam lowers the quality of the videos they process - to try to mitigate this I attempt to upscale in "lossless 4K," which can increase the size of a 1½ minute video from 444 MB to 15 GB or higher… and _that_ process takes approximately 1 hour per minute of footage. Granted, I can do that when I'm asleep thanks to batch files, but even then I'd be limiting myself to 8-10 minute videos so I can still use my PC during the day. I suppose I'll just have to get used to rendering / uploading videos at a "lower" visual quality just to save time and space and whatnot. 🥴
I am kicking myself for not using OBS a _lot_ sooner, since that's made streaming way easier with scene transitions and having social media addresses and chat embeds on screen, and while I'm still getting used to my mic - particularly with finding the right "balance" between mic audio and game audio - it makes it easier not only to communicate with chatters but also explaining _why_ I'm doing what I'm doing (such as answering the "Tests of Virtue" in _Ultima IV_ that determines my character's class).

Yeah the spectator thing between old and newer consoles is dumb. It’s less common on PC but that’s just a calibur net code thing that we’ve been crying about since release lol as for editing, I have used free editors like DaVinci but I didn’t like the interface so I got Vegas 14 Pro for a huge discount on Steam LOOL The UA-cam codec thing is frustrating too since it’s just another UA-cam algorithm hope that your video will get enough traction, engagement, etc., just to get the VP codec. As for your streams, I like em when ya talk. Just don’t like the 15 second delay LOOL but UA-cam naturally has like a five second delay and tons of buffering issues. Again that’s a UA-cam thing though. Idk man. I’m tired. LOOOL
