Everyone was just rolling through the stores like zombies to stock up for " Y2K" as if time would actually stop. Panic Pandemonium was personified. Meanwhile, we didn't know stuff like 9/11 would ever happen to us, so I was just strolling around the Fry's grocery store acting like it was just another day. It's all just so ironic. I freely admit, however, that I did actually buy a gallon of water. Like somehow I would "escape" the time continuum. Bizzare, indeed.

I would hear this all the time as a kid, unfortunately I'm a bit too young to have really been able to remember the cultural landscape of the 90s, I was like 4/5 when this came out, but in hindsight this is SUCH a vibe... so many music videos around '96-'98 seem to have a similar aesthetic.

I think he's the one who chooses the endings, since he's a fan of american music of course. I don't think any japanese studio would think of "Walk like an egyptian" as an ending song for example.
