If a boy, especially a high school aged boy, tried to open up about his feelings, his peers would most likely ridicule and mock him, despite having the same repressed emotions he has.
What we need to start doing is teaching boys at a young age that it’s ok to be emotionally vulnerable, and that their emotions are just as valid as their female counterparts. We need to stop shaming men and boys for being human and feeling human emotions
