For this video ive travelled down to somerset and i'm doing a 4 day session by myself at the festival carp fishery near glastonbury.
It was a tough session with baking hot days but freezing cold nights which didnt make for the best conditions, but i managed to fluke a few out, so tune in and see i i approached this 4 day mega session.

Great looking carp
Another great blog mate. I’m up there start of may for 6 nights. Learned a lot from this so I’ll take it all onboard. Great ending too. Nice to see some nice guys out there still will to help others 👍🏻

Excellent video Chris, really enjoyed this, from area baiting to honing it down to more accurate baiting positions setting the trap, a very logical tactic with pellet. As you said wouldn't want to try that with boillies the lake bed would look like a golf driving range lol and without doubt the best carping excuse i have ever heard "Thermal Shock" brilliant LOL However with three fish out of the water no thermal excuse needed 😁👍well done Chris

@@MrCarpking71 I saw the back lead but it looked like there was something which could be adjusted what the lead sat on to, like a bead or something.

@@MrCarpking71 do you make your own hole through the bead with a needle to get that extra grip on the line?. I might implement it in to my fishing.
Chris. How far north do you travel? You might want to check out fisherwick lakes.
Never heard of that. Bluebell lakes is most northerly ive been.
Fisherwick lakes is in Lichfield staffs.carp over 30 and cats over 50lb

Is silicone tubing over the mainline above the lead considered a leader ? Its running on the line

@@MrCarpking71 you said no leaders of any sort. Some may consider tubing up to the lead as a leader just wondered if you knew if tubing was allowed or if that was considered a leader

My argument then was it runs freely on the line so is fish safe but the fishery said that it could aid in tethering and get dragged around by a fish. I quote "If in doubt a leader is anything that leads up to the lead" I said so you would prefer the mainline to rip the scales off the fish then?
@@justogetarep that fishery must be stupid then. Tubing just falls off if snapped off.
