Can’t wait to be a vip club member, this is just too cool, hope my daughter wants to become a shredder to when she gets a little older. Just paying off this amp and I swear I’ll become a member. Watching these videos makes me excited to play guitar, cant imagine unlocking the doors of becoming a member and seeing all the videos you have to offer. I appreciate what you do put out it’s helps, it really does. 🙏
Daaamn man you are the best, most teachers in my experience tell you stuff like " ooh do you what you want" or generally give really vague and generic advice. You man come with specific directions on every topic and provide functional solutions targeting each problem to its core. That's a rare quality, well done man amazing content 🔥🔥🔥🙂
@@MrFi5her Just because you can't identify with the intent of fast playing doesn't mean it isn't soulful. It just doesn't speak to you personally, and that's okay. Discrediting its legitimacy is not okay.
Hey Bernth, I just wanted to say what you're doing for the metal/rock guitar community is amazing. I wish I had someone like you when I was learning. I was in music college when I saw these ideas for the first time! Ive been off the guitar a few years but this is helping me get back into it!
Bernth, thank you so much for walking us through this together, you’re amazing. The fact you slowly show explain show and demonstrate on screen as well as using correct terminologies, is so very helpful. 🙏🤘 been slowly getting better but I’m enjoying my journey! I watch every chance I get cause I don’t want to miss any important info you give us! Been also writing in a book to help me read, and thinking of ✍️ writing down the definition of what the terms mean, think this will help? Thanks again for all you do, hope you have a good day my friend ! 7:30 thank you 🙏
Sicherheit Hawara Schnitzel! Danke dür die Videos. Habe ewig mit paul gilbert und John petrucci Übungen verbracht... aber was mit deinen Videos weitergeht is unglaublich 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks so much for lessons like these. I've always wanted to get better at improvising but never really knew how and having gotten back into guitar recently after a long time off your videos have really helped me find ways to improve. I still have a long way to go but your videos are truly helping me every day.
I just watched a video on playing in intervals and that will be my main focus. Then this video comes out today. Perfect timing and thanks for another useful video. 🤘Sicherheit🤘
Great advice Bernth I need to try more difference things on the guitar there are so many things to learn on guitar it's endless it can get confusing at times
@@Bernthguitar I've seen this one I meant how to connect 3nps scale shapes across the board with a cycling pattern like paul gilbert without cutting out the 7th degree of each shape
I have srs confusion (still new to improv) Lets say in a scenario my fingers know all the shapes of the major scale without even thinking abt it and can transition easily. As im improvising if just thunk abt the sound i want to make (ohh i nkw want a sharp twang or a low growl l or this and that) and my fingers immediately transition to the appropriate notes then isnt that the goal What would the role of this interval structure thinking play here? As long as i think abt the sound i want to make (whether lower or higher relativelt) are thinking abt intervals rly relevant? Or is this sth thats useful for like playing over a backtrack of c major for example and if the last chord of the backing track is G major i target number 5 or the root when that chord plays. Any other benefits? Thanks
Hey Bernth, i'm considering your patreon, but not sure if I am experienced enough to sub. I've only been playing for a few months (3-5ish hours a week ), and only really seriously/consistently for maybe 1-2 months(10ish hours a week minimum). Do you have any reccomended bench marks for when I can actually fully benefit from your patreon?
As someone who is subbed to his patreon... I would spend more time getting to know the notes on the fretboard above all else. As well as some general music theory basics will be very beneficial. His patreon has a TON of great stuff but it is a little bit difficult to dig through if you don't have a specific thing you are trying to work on. If you have a specific topic you are looking for there are broad categories you can look through to find a relevant video but really you're going to get the absolute most out of his material if you spend the time to really learn your guitar neck. That said; he does have some videos relating to learning the notes but they all have very specific exercises that need a lot of time practicing to really master. I would recommend watching a few of his videos here and really really trying to spend some time doing the exercises and spending the time to really absorb them. The patreon is a wealth of knowledge but it is easy to get overwhelmed as a beginner. Hope that helps
It is a serious grind to memorize all of the notes on the neck (or at least it was for me) but not a single thing I have ever learned has benefitted me more in my playing and understanding of music.
This great, but I seem to lose You in all of your videos after the first two minutes. Can you do instruction in tabbed numbers? I know very little on how to read music and music theory, and after the first minute or two I have no idea what your getting into
Download the full daily improvisation workout package on Patreon: www.patreon.com/bernth - have fun shredding, my friends

Idol please check Vinnie Moore classical guitar solo.. Really wanna see you play and break down if you may. Stay safe. Ty
I’m thankful that you are continuously posting material.

I'm overwhelmed by how good this guy is. I think he's the best guitar player I've seen on UA-cam. And he has a killer tone.

if Ichika Nito (Japan's best guitar player) and Bernt were to shred together that would result in some seriously epic music
I don't know how I can fairly thank this man for all the support he gives to the guitar community

Can I say I appreciate the editing? It's awesome!
I love this concept especially the mixing it up exercise at the end. It doesn't seem like it will be hard to learn and repeat.
Man this helps a lot! You definitely are the best guitar teacher on UA-cam!
