I would be okay with COB continuing with Samy tbh. He does Alexi justice. If they did something similar to Pantera where it’s just a tribute to the OG band and have Samy fill in for Alexi then it would be badass imo
I love so much the way you play the songs Alexi wrote in his hey days. And I mean 'hey days' the ol'good COB stuff. Thank you. Though I think Alexi wrote his best stuff just before his life ended. The last song "Paint The Sky With Blood" has all the best parts of his music and yet it's a fresh angle. Also Hexed has some great tracks. But I agree, there was a time after the first four albums where his music wasn't as good as the first four albums and the last work he did. Anyway, he was a god of guitar and creating metal songs.

Yea, you've got the point there, Alexi wrote a lot of good stuff In his entire career, anyway, in my opinion, the best songs were written for their first 4 to 6 albums, 'Blooddrunk' being the 6th album. After 'Blooddrunk' Alexi and the band lost something they used to have in their music, but it could be something that came with aging, you know what I'm saying? As band members get older, they no longer want to play or write songs like they did when they were much younger. I think this has happened to so many bands, right? Either way, COB was a super great band til' the bittersweet end, I guess you could say. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me. Much appreciated!
