I don't know if you are a fan of the Bronze and Modern Gods UA-cam channel, but Richard has an original graded copy of the book. He has highlighted and talked about the book in the past. Thank you for sharing this history of the book. I will definitely pick up a copy of the Anniversary issue.
Just got me a copy, can't wait to get my hands on it. The reason I started collecting comics in 2018 was because of Black Panther, I told myself that my collection was going to be all black super heroes. But I found out quickly that there's not much of them, so I started collecting DC, Marvel's characters. But I still buy mostly black super heroes in all comic books like Milestone Hardware, Static #1, Blood Syndicate #1. Stuff like that. I love Black Super heroes comics
You been on a roll Kicks👏🏾. I truly appreciate this video about some history I never knew. And on the last day of Black History Month too, it’s fitting. Definitely grabbing a copy.
Not a lot of people know about this book. It’s one I would love to have in my collection but is priced out of my reach. Seeing that they have reprinted it and in hardcover too, it’s exciting to see. I’m definitely picking up a copy. You should do a peace on LOBO too one day. ✌🏾
Well, you definitely got yourself a new subscriber. I would love to hear your thoughts on Reginald Hudlin's Icon and Rocket Season One. Take care, brother.
This was a really cool piece of history, thanks for doing this video. Looking at the cover, I would have assumed at first glance that this was a book of racist depictions of black people best left to history. Instead we get a historical artifact and a great story of the first black US journalist on a white run paper. Side note, I need to get on Noir is the new Black ASAP
Cool vid, but U failed to mentioned the Black Romance comics who also were thrown under the bus. ALSO no way Lion Man would been bigger than Black Panther. Interesting U said how eerie the story is similar bc there was a Marvel Western character that rumored was where they actually got the idea for Black Panther. hmmmmm. But these comics would b labeled racist by the woke left. hahahahaha U know it true.
