Yellow Aircraft AT-6 Texan w/ Saito 450 Radial Engine - GIANT SCALE CLASSIC

- This is Cal Orr's vintage Yellow Aircraft AT-6 Texan, powered by a Saito 3 Cylinder Radial Engine flying recently at the inaugural "Wings Over Chino" RC Model Airplane event held at the Pomona Valley RC Model Airplane Club field in Pomona, California.
These models are HUGE, and come in at over 100" in wingspan! They present a very scale outline of the AT-6 (except for the wings lacking enough dihedral), and they fly very well. Everyone knows T-6 Texans can be a handful on landing, and this one is no exception. Cal puts on a great show with this plane, and I hope you enjoy the flight! Cheers everyone and Happy Landings! - Наука та технологія
That sound...awesome! Nice job by Cal!
Thanks brother!
Love that "Thub-thub-thub" music 😊. Another awesome video.
Thanks my friend 😎👍😁
There's an old pilot's saying;
"The flight ain't over 'til everything stops turning."
I apply that to everything I fly.
Indeed Richard!! Good way to operate...

Works for me.
Because playing with toy airplanes is a stupid way to get hurt... or worse!
"Don't forget to use the rudder."

@@richard1472 For sure...all sage advice my friend...
Nothing like the sound of a radial! If I ever went gas, that's the only way I'd do it.
I completely agree with you my friend! Hope all is well 👍

@@greenseaships Nice!
Blip the throttle, his center flap isnt working either. I had a yellow T6, awesome flying plane.
Thanks for checking in John, I noticed that, but didn't know if those models had a center flap or not. All the best brother!
Very nice ! Tnx for sharing. it's not an AT6 if it doesn't ground loop 🤣
Thank you my friend, and YES, they are very tricky on the ground 😳😁👍
Why do people overpower their models so much? It's just silly.
Well, yes and no. Although I do think this one is a bit overpowered, it's not ridiculously overpowered, so I think the builder/pilot did well with his choice. It does fly nicely! All the best to you!
Better to be overpowered then underpowered!
@@colebryant8832 Yessir! At least in realistic fashion anyway...
I fly an 8 foot span ARF twin Cessna 310 with two OS 46AX. usually we would see .60's or even 90's in this model. I can do aerobatics on just one engine, and recently did an easy single engine full go-around and circuit pattern from the ground on a touch and go.
