@@SSS-dn3uz IR can do multiple procedures on a single patient. If a patient has varicose veins and fibroid, both can be treated by IR. You need not go to Gynec for Fibroid and Surgeon for varicose. It will save time and money for patients.

If you are a delhite, I am assuming you don’t want to move cities 😅 If you are comfortable moving cities, GMCH chandigarh is a great hospital with good radiology program and no bond. Also it’s closer to Delhi and a great city to live in!

AIIMS Jodhpur has also renamed their MD as Radiodiagnosis and Intervention Radiology. Just a Name play for making private hiring easier later on. Other colleges with MD Radiodiagnosis degree also have decent exposure of IR in residency like PGI, AIIMS Rishikesh, SGPGI, VMMC

If you settle in tier2/3 city, you can set it off in one year after you join a diagnostic Center post MD. But if you are getting a Govt seat in other speciality I’d suggest you take that.

IR are running seperate opd and since we are seeing images in md radiology we are better in IR procedure than other specialities,

FNB fellowships are through entrance exam.
ILBS and SGPGI fellowship are through theory + interview exam.
Most others are directly interview based.
