Sweet bike,Mon! You should make a trip up here to Northern California and visit the main Specialized HQ in Morgan Hill. The museum is a must-see and open to the public although not sure right now with what's going on. Enjoy the bike!
I have the Aethos Pro Comp - that frame is a thing of beauty. The ride comfort and quality is just incredible, even on crappy Scottish roads it's like a magic carpet. Enjoy it (I'm sure you will👍)
Hi great looking bike I live in Stockport and generally in winter I ride a lot around Alderley edge , wilmslow up around Northwich , the Jodrell not too sure if I seen you out the other week I did say a general hi as you do to other cyclists out and about . Keep the pedals turning & stay safe
Sweet bike, really cool n smooth light riding😎😍 ah you really need to keep your bike in your house where it’s nice n dry and protected. Outside it’s a guaranteed steal for sure!! Plus no rust will accumulate on your cranksets
It was but the fine tuning of the bikes was down to us as measurements are so specific. So they were handed to us ready for us to fine tune and match our preferences to them!
@@monicadew9478 Okay clear, but it would also have been a nice vlog to see them make these adjustments to your bike. Now you have to go back again to have the parts replaced by you replaced by the parts from Specialized itself. It is not a criticism but this comes across a bit from here you have your bike and you can figure it out yourself!

@@ToraagejorgensenZwift the only improved thing compared to 2015 might be the carbon lay up and that literally doesn't do all that much in a comfort oriented bike. The aethos isn't supposed to be that stiff and aggressive. Therefore you're paying top top top dollar for technology that is really outdated. Round tubes. Not that stiff etc. The only reason it costs that much is that specialized convinces people like you that it's a vanity item. But I guarantee you, their engineers had to do really minimal research to build it and it costs them about as much as any other lower tier bike to produce.
@@ToraagejorgensenZwift a tarmac would have been a truly more interesting bike for the money. The aethos is literally a bike for idiots given the price. Mid tier at best. Unless of course the bike industry doesn't think the aero bikes it make are worth 10.000+ dollars.
After seeing the headquarter I understand why I paid so much money for my S-Works Aethos. I'm wondering if you still praise SRAM red till you have your first chain drop and start tinkering with the FD. Fortunately I figured out why the chain drops into the cranks in the first place and how to stop the brake levers from rattling. (put 4 layer's of electric tape between the lever and the housing)
Don't get me wrong, I love my Aethos and I ride it a lot (at the moment in Almeria, Spain, in the mountains on perfect roads without traffic) but the SRAM red is a pain in the ***. Have fun with the bike and please buy a proper torque wrench. One more advice: Adjust the seat hight in bib shorts and cycling shoes.
Thanks for your advice Thomas, you make some good points! I have since tightened the bolts with a torque wrench and adjusted all the measurements now i've ridden the bike properly! I'm enjoying using SRAM red and yet to have a problem but thanks for the heads up Thanks for the support!
Currently thinking of getting one or a tarmac, is the ride of the aethos really as good as the reviews say it is? wondering if the aethos will handle the knutsford potholes better. Good luck for 2022
100% commit to the Aethos!! I love it, having now riden it a few times everything I read and watched about the bike is true! It really is a special bit of kit!
This is exciting news!! 😁 Congrats on the new machine. May you have many safe miles on it. What happened to the Scott? Are you no longer sponsored by them and furthermore will I be sponsored by specialized going forward and have you given thought to RACING again?
Thanks so much, yeah so I'm now connected to Specialised through LeBlanq so this is the bike I'm using for 2022. The Scott was an ace bike and I loved it too, just a different direction for this year, Thanks for the support! Sadly I think i'm done with my days of competing at the level I was but I wouldn't shy away from a relaxed more fun racing environment,, such as MTB or GRVL! We'll see!

The 48/35 plays like a 52/36 as there is a 10 tooth sprocket on the back. Great vid!
Yeah I soon learnt this! I don't feel like it makes much of a difference, like you say it rides like a 52/36 which is what I was using when I raced
