TrueUnderDawgGaming If you hold down the dragon rush button when dragon rush ends it does more damage (does not apply when you force switch your opponent’s character). you can just hold the button after you land dragon rush until it launches. if you only hold the button at the beginning and not at the end its does and in between amount of damage. I guess this is made if you wanted to mash during dragon rush or something? Edit: i think this has to do with how you want hit stun to work on your opponent since holding the button does more hits as well which leads to quicker recovery for the opponent perhaps. You can control the number of hits by either not pressing the button (least amount of hits), tapping the button in the middle (some extra hits and damage), press the button at the end or hold it (does the most amount of hits and damage). You can press any attack button i believe.
TrueUnderDawgGaming you can add a light hit before the jump cancel in combo at 3:15, the version of that combo with the dragon rush you do use it though, you can also use the qcb+L before the vanish, so its like combining both combos.
It's just a timing thing. You want to input your jump right after the cH lands. Then you want to attack right after that jump. It's almost too fast to see the jump at all. That's how fast you want to do a Light attack after jumping :)

To everyone not able to hit the second j.cH: you're missing a crucial piece of information. 3x L in the air is part of the autocombo and equals to aerial L, M ,H, but the difference is that because it's part of the autocombo it corrects your height and pushes you up (so that the autocombo can always hit). Liking this one and subscribing. Funny how you didn't mention using auto combos on the last parts of the air combo. Most people won't be able to do those last parts no matter how good they are.
I managed to get 126 hits with gohan in practice mode using combination of light attacks and his 20 hit kick combo special move trick was keep them near right corner.
What do you mean by -jL? minus jump light? The second combo is qcb +2 - qcf +LM. There are no commas like in the other combos. Do you mean do quarter circle back two times then substract quarter circle forward LM?
After the 3rd down heavy, when I try to do the down back heavy some opponents(and CPU) seem to recover out of it. Can you explain how you are able to connect these ? Please reply I am getting frustrated. Some players recover out of it while some don't.
Really appreciate the video ! I somehow messed around and found more dmg in on the Level 7 combos by starting jM , H , L , L instead of jL , M , H , L ... Maybe because the M and H scale earlier ? Idk but thx for the great stuff !
A fast pace you can handle is better than pressing as fast as you can all the time. Might mash extra buttons accidentally. typically the only time you are looking to hit the button ASAP is when combo'ing into vanish, super, or assist. Hope that helps a little.
frank reynolds I don’t know if it’s how he has done it but I been heavy jumping, by pressing down then up or downforward then upforward give you the height on the first jump then the rest kinda just falls into place

The first aerial cH will launch and you have to superdash but then the cH thats before a jump cancel thats in the part after a super dash, you have to make sure to jump when the attack hits, not too early, not too late, and you press L at about the same time you jump cancel (its all about the jump cancel timing rather than the button press, you can even press the button during the cH and before you jump cancel and the move will automatically come out after the jump cancel!!) also its worth noting for the M he does after the jL after the jump cancel he presses L instead because of how autocombo tracking works. if you dont hard launch the opponent at least once before the cH, it will always hard launch the opponent and the jL wont connect
tyrickisbeasty try using the super dash button instead of pressing cH into H, it also permits your character to delay the super dash which puts you in a higher position and gives you more room for more buttons
tyrickisbeasty That happens if you already used your super dash earlier in the combo i think so it shouldnt be happening here? when you super dash make sure you are pressing H not S or just use the super dash buttons.
Does the qcbL attack in air only work at mystic level 1+ AND after a 2H? I tried it last night for what seemed like hours but the dummy air recovers before the punch lands.

Kyle Davis unleashed potential only gives you more cancelable buttons and a slight damage boost and speed boost. It doesn't give more hits to your moves nor your supers.
At level 7 you dont need to cancel weaker attacks with stronger attacks, You can cancel stronger attacks into weaker attacks instead, for example you will be able to do 5M ->5L instead of having to do 5L->5M So you pretty much screw the rules on how combos work

Any help would be nice. I’m really struggling on landing gcfLM after doing an air combo and knocking them down. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? I feel like I land everything but the super for some reason. Like after knocking them down from a air combo I fall to far from the opponent to use gcfLM
I found that what I was doing was I was pressing the bumper/trigger too early in the quarter circle, so what happens is you just do the move related to the bumper instead of your super. A good way to check what you are doing is to go into training mode and show command history (in info display settings), it might show that you are missing the down or the diagonal or what have you. But the ability to see exactly what it sees you inputting can be a great wealth of information.
I just started playing today, and I think you can't do some of these combo's anymore. For example, I can't converge the crouch back ultimate back attack move after cH high in the air. Sometimes I can if I delay it, but it doesn't count as a combo. Also the weirdest thing just happened to me, I was able to converge the high kick into l m h l ch. Then I reset training, and suddenly it's impossible now. Like some patch occured mid training???. So weird. Any explanations ??
I just tested them, and they are still possible. Keep in mind that some combos can only be done after level 1 Potential Unleashed. level 1 is actually required to end air combos with light Backfist. Later combos in the guide also require level 7 to perform. I leave a little subtitle on-screen to show when each new level starts. The top bar also changes color. I hope this comment helped out :)
These are good combos, but some do less damage then others with more effort with the same startups. Plus the prompts at the top of the screen are not accurate to what you are doing. For example sometimes you say L M H, when that wont actually work. You really have to just press L 3 times in a row. It does the same thing but L M H will stop the combo. Also 4:49 you do not actually even do the jL, M, H, L, cH. You just do jL, M, L, cH. (You cannot do it unless you start the combo with cM Nitpicky as fuck I know but like...its misleading. That and some of these combos you show do more damage then others, the only difference being the ground combo being different. (Not harder). For example 4:01 does 6107, but 4:49 does 6648 damage. They both start with M at level 7 so...why should I bother learning 4:01?
I can do everything I see here BUT the 2H jump cancel. Like I think I understand but apparently I don't. Or my hands don't. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
What I ussually do is 2M, 5M, JcL, 5M, 2H. Then after the launch, do the air combo, I was trying all these combos and because I couldn't hit the 2H to JcL, I just did L, M, Jc L M then the rest of it. important.. after the second Jcl u have do it at least L L - cause its trigger the autocombo and will lift u slighty up to ur enemy. Without it wont work.

You just need to jump forward after your air attack :)

does your lvl 3 have more hits if you're past a certain level of "potential unleashed"? when I try on level one it gives me 60ish hits in total

You pretend to do all those combos in your first day? Its pretty difficult even for people Who started playing at day one

Also 4:49 you do not actually even do the jL, M, H, L, cH. You just do jL, M, L, cH. (You cannot do it unless you start the combo with cM
Nitpicky as fuck I know but like...its misleading. That and some of these combos you show do more damage then others, the only difference being the ground combo being different. (Not harder). For example 4:01 does 6107, but 4:49 does 6648 damage. They both start with M at level 7 so...why should I bother learning 4:01?

Just keep holding forward at the end of the combo.... you will drift near the opponent
I can do everything I see here BUT the 2H jump cancel. Like I think I understand but apparently I don't. Or my hands don't. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Just treat it like a normal jump cancel combo. And remember that you can only do it after launching the opponent. I Hope that helps ;)
What I ussually do is 2M, 5M, JcL, 5M, 2H. Then after the launch, do the air combo, I was trying all these combos and because I couldn't hit the 2H to JcL, I just did L, M, Jc L M then the rest of it. important.. after the second Jcl u have do it at least L L - cause its trigger the autocombo and will lift u slighty up to ur enemy. Without it wont work.
