That's because it is real at first, and then he uses visual effects to make it look like three of them are laying flat on the surface. Sometimes with Zach King, the "reveal" is actually the trick.
@@Durwood71 Exactly, it's actually a fade-in of two videos, one with real cubes and one with paper. Same with the first trick and some others in the video.

Same here for those Rubik's Cube disappearing ones we focus on the red door or orange thoughts in the middle some of the white Rubik's Cubes just started to fade on and off like pulse but

Edit 2: I just realised that I don't see nothing happen anymore. It's a ring-around effect where one disappears and then reappears as the one next to it disappears, starting a chain

It's crazy that all of the cubes in the background disappear after a few seconds! Also, can you solve the painted cube?
I haven't tried solving that other cube yet, I'm guessing it will be difficult. Maybe i'll do a live stream later this week to see if I can solve it.

The other cubes weren't fading out but the red top left corner piece started to become white. It was quit cool even if it did not fully work.

You gotta make sure you don't shift your eyes at all to make the cubes fade. Our eyes naturally make micro movements, even when we're trying not to move them, so it's hard. I got 2 cubes to fade =)

it's actually impossible, not hard. you do not need to prevent your eyes from making those micro movements to see the illusion. because that would be impossible :)

@@Hello-ty3ws It wasn't there. he shows the tower from the side at the beginning, where it would be obvious. If it was always there, it would only work if the camera was perfectly still and only from a certain angle. Not to mention, the extra cube isn't even aligned that well with the others, so it would never be invisible even if everything else was set up correctly. 0:25 you can see some yellow peeking out from the cube behind it.
It's no secret they use vfx and editing to create a lot of their illusions.
edit: also at 0:21 the line on the right side of where the cube appears is a concave < shape. If there were a cube there, it could only be a convex > shape or a straight line |, otherwise we would be able to see the right face of the cube.

I noticed a slight alteration in the yellow section especially where it appeared to slowly fade in some additional space. There was editing afoot.
Looking further into the video, nearly all of these have some editing done to them some are hidden with a shaky camera or pulling out the shot, while others are clever fade ins.
Not to mention that the geometry of the first one doesn’t work based on what he showed us.

@@galaxyasmr7268 your not getting it. When Zach reveals how it's done he shows that the cube is just sitting on the paper and the shadow makes it look like it's floating. If the cube is sitting on the paper than how did some of the pencil get covered when going under it?

I call bs on it too, that warp disturbed me a lot XD Maybe that cube he made would work only if the camera was always at a 45° angle looking at the other cubes and if no shadows or reflections happened, but I don't feel like testing that, sounds like a pain, but here it clearly is edited.... Maybe it was made badly on purpose to distract us all video from other edited parts, who knows, if that's the case, it worked remarkably well, since I don't want to watch the video more times after replaying the warp part to check for other stuff XD

2:28 fun fact: if this doesn't work, you actually have better eyesight as far as the color part of things. if they fade away, your eyes can only focus on so many colors at once, and your brain slowly shows the illusion that the others aren't there unless you look at them again

For me they just faded for me the cubes faded and didn’t disappear all the way so I would say it worked 50% on me
Its actually 11 .. If you look it carefully the last cube was added to a video by zach king when he say "Ready For It?" on 0:24 .. the edit is really2 smooth , so noone notice the last cube was added 😄😄 Nice one ..
