Your shifting technique needs a lot to be desired...need to be a lot smoother instead of that snatchy action you have...and you'll find the bike is a lot smoother.
When I first rode my 2022 bobber I was horrified at the lack of brakes. But I quickly realised that was due to the dealership valet, spraying the bike with Mr Sheen, including the discs!! By the time I got home the brakes were equally as good as my Kawasaki Z900RS.
@@rubo1964the Z900RS is a great bike that can be ridden fast. The bobber more relaxed and happier at legal speeds but can still open up if want. The bobber did need a springer seat to make it comfortable on longer rides.
Looks to me like you’re constantly snapping and dumping the clutch, as if you’re riding a 2-stroke. Ironic that you got back on the HD and promptly snapped the clutch cable…
The shifting and brakes are like that on all triumph bikes (modern classics, not the ss bikes), i have a 13 scrambler and the gearbox is nice but not nearly as "kathunk" as my old sportster, and the brakes are butter soft which ehh not enough to keep me away from buying another triumph. I will say ive fallen hard for the bobber and plan on adding one to the fleet. Good review!
I would suggest you have never ridden a brand new bike before. It has the best brakes in the world but need 50 miles to bed in and come up to speed. If you changed gear with your technique you would damage it before properly run in. The bike is not supposed to go over 4000 revs for at least 600 miles. You would now be an ex friend of mine if you showed me a video of you riding my new bike like that.
@@joeporto5811 Hi Joe ! It should change pretty damn good even without turning traction off. But yes you have a good point nevertheless. Can you turn traction off on the 2022 model ? NZ
Get the two on a windy hairpin road that british bike will walk away from that american bike all day.helps not to lug that parallel twin it doesnt have the rotating engine mass a v twin hd has thats the stumble.have road both the harley is cool the triumph is a desired taste 100 miles of riding one and you will see its nimble and solid and feels alot lighter than the hd. Also the mirrors dont shake like mad.
I would have a hard time choosing between the two. I would want more seat for one. I like the sound of both, but the Harley has a slightly better sound.
Bobber is hugely more of a bike than the Harley, way more power and despite what he said better brakes, suspension chassis. Cool looks too, that being said, The Harley oozes term and you can customise it to your hearts content.
If u focus on the bad stuff and ignore the good, then you weren't really watching. I can mention a handful of good things in the vid. I hate fake reviews only saying good stuff. Also it wasn't a review video.
Iv never seen anyone snatch so hard on the clutch and accelerator. Those breaks are ABS if you cant work with them theres something wrong with your riding. And on a brand new bike! John must want his head examining letting you loose on his new bike. The iron 883 is a tank. Even Harley dealers who care about there customers won't stear you towards one. No-one rides a brand new bike like that it takes 600 miles to break it all in. Seriously I think you need to try something else in life.
Everyone clutches different. I'm just more agressive at riding. John actually thanked me for looking over his bike for issues, riding it back, and breaking in his sissy bike 😅 🤣 JK! Watch my latest video, I teach John how to lane split in the highway like a man. Ps. No one should change their life around over how to use a clutch 😭
Harley clutch cable breaking after not even a year is not a good look. Really don't want to talk shit about your bike but in this case it did fulfill the stereotype. How's it been going since?
Watch part 2. I installed a new clutch lever that caused the cable to snap. The company admitted to a faulty clutch design and sent me a new one. Fine ever since 🙌
Kinda seemed like you were searching for things to complain about. You have to rev these motors out 😭 you're lugging it around and shifting too low!! Not to mention, i can see you're letting the clutch out too fast and thats why its jolting. Not sure what happened with the brakes, but the dual brembos are vastly superior to the sportsters single disk. This bike goes and stops twice as fast as the 83, no debate. The Bobber will buck you off the front with too much lever grab, and would probably do a stoppy
lol, blast from the pas here, almost forgot about the antivax loonies weird tantrum about masks. Least it thinned out the nutters a bit, Darwinism in action.
I live in Arizona but used to live in Diamond Bar, worked in chino, so i really loved the ride from brea, through DB, CH and than through central ave..miss it. Love both Bikes but have never been on a motorcycle yet. Might get the INT 650 from royal Enfield..Its more affordable and looks nice.
I can feel your happiness riding the bike. I bet I’d feel the same when I get mine in the future.

how you compare Z900RS to Bobber. Love Z900RS but love BMWR9T too hard to decide

Banging gears like his racing 😂
Brakes just needed bedding in, brand new bike, same with gearbox.
Easy to see why the cable broke... ;-)
Once he gets an after market exhaust he'll love it
Still one of the better if not the best sounding stock bikes.

He does look sick on it💯
I’m only guessing but the jolting could be the clutch work, not releasing the clutch so quick I wonder would help
Glad I got the Triumph instead of a Harley
Nice. Different strokes for different folks. Do any mods to it?
@@kevlarxkoffee not yet. Thinking about getting a new seat and some handlebars. Still shopping around trynna decide lol

Phenomenal bike! Well made video!
You obviously did not know how to shift the Triumph.
How do u shift sensei?

Shift in higher rpm on triumphs.
Gracias y saludos desde españa.
Para los recién sacados el carnet de moto ( aqui en españa se llama a2) la recomiendas como primera moto??
Hello Spain! 👋 I've been to Spain once around Ibiza. Love the food, women, and vibe 🙌
Brea? Yeah!!! 👍🏼
How would you compare this to a new street bob
Am I the only one that thinks the seat is up to far? There looks like there is a huge gap between the seat and rear fender…. Other than love it!
The seats on the are adjustable !
A long way from the original Matchless.
I had to ask AI what a matchless is 😅
This is not a Harley that craps itself at anything over 4k. So learn to ride other than Harleys.

Hey neighbor! I am in cucamonga too.I like the triumph bobber. How does the seat feels?
Seat felt fine. It kept me in when taking off. Not sure if my friend will swap out that seat tho, I kinda like it 😬
you are riding dangerously too close to the car ahead of you, it’s too distracting for me to watch this 😂
your presentation of the trump sounded like you were complaining about everything on the bike

5'8" - 5'9". Feels comfortable.

If you want to shift the way you do it ( to fast ) idk, put a short shifter, if not try to shift more longer. Its not a sport bike. 🙏
My guy you can stay in the gear longer in bobbers they are like diesel cars 😅
What ever happened to ur boy? Is he still riding it ?
He still rides his bike. He works the late night shifts so it's hard for him to ride with the group. I plan on having a ride with him soon 🤙

Going 2 up on this bike is probably not gonna happen huh?
Anything is possible lol 🤙
Bobber has beey long gears coz of the torque, ur changing to quickly bud
I was looking at the bike, I think the pistons are a little small
"you see these shifts aren't smooth"
well i mean...yeah...cause you're not shifting it smoothly =/
😂 I shift it hard, like a Harley brotherrrr 😅👊
Switch that dirty chain out for a belt and I’m in!!
The bike looks awesome but I can't get over these other bikes with no real sound. Can't beat the harley sound.
It's a harley, of course it broke, lol...
