I've been riding since 1967. The first bike I rode was a Honda 305, in the Philippines. After the Navy I bought a 1967 Triumph 500 and rode that for about 5 years, After that I rode a 1948 Harley EL for over 40 years. I now ride a Triumph Bobber and it is the PERFECT BIKE , with two riding modes, cruise control, ABS brakes, and plenty of power, your couldn't ask for anything more. When you get as many miles under your belt as I have, with over 55 years riding, you will maybe learn what is important.
I have a 2022 bobber. It is a fantastic bike. The more I ride it the more I enjoy and appreciate it. The gearing seems long at first, but as you learn the bike, you find that Triumph had it correct. The only genuine fault is the rear suspension. Others and I have replaced the rear shock with upmarket shocks that make little difference, however, fitting a C o C Customs Springer Seat kit transforms the bobber into the comfiest bike on the road. It’s the first and the only essential mod. Other mods I have done are, De Cat X pipe but kept the original silencers. Highway pegs. Radiator guard. Raised the bars up and back an inch. A rear fender rack and leather panniers and a Givi touring screen for winter riding. Yes the bobber looks even better with shorter fenders but where I live that’s not practical, I’ve actually added an extender to the front fender to protect the engine and radiator from loose stones and mud.
Love the bobber, but triumph needs to update it. 1350cc parallel twin with 90hp/100lb-ft would actually make it competitive with the other cruisers in the genre
i like the power as is on the bobber but definitely agree that more wouldn’t be a complaint, especially considering the same motor in the thruxton makes about 30hp/tq more
The new Indian scout has like 10% more power at the wheel. They advertise power from the crank, while triumph advertises from the wheel. The 2023 scout had a couple more torque and HP. This engine is the tits.
Basically the Bonneville T120 HT motor. Bobber has more torque than Scout and comes in quicker, and way lighter than softail Harleys, it gets it done. Triumph have a 105hp HP version of 1200 motor that is used in new Speed Twin. That would be cool.
OC: Definitely here for the retro bobber vibes. Triumph is King of retro styling after all. If it weren't for the R9 being such a HARD PURCHASE I'd consider getting the Bobber here.
Have had a Bobber black for.five years now. and your.comments are spot on. I changed to the factory quilted seat as well as to the Fox adjustable suspension from the catalog to make it comfortable for city riding. Aftermarket wind deflector. and it's been good to go. Exhaust gets louder age so agreed didn't feel the need to change it.
I have this. Except for the over heating (which I think might be some issue on my end), this puppy is so fun to have. I kid you not. But it's not a race machine it's not a touring bike. For what it's meant for they did a fantastic job. I love mine.
Thank you, I’m thinking about buying one, but I was thinking of the Harley Sportster.. I enjoy your conversation.. I love the masculine look but if the seat is not comfortable. I’m not wanting it… God bless you always, be safe! Aloha!!!
I've a 2023 with mini apes, forward controls, Tom Hurley seat and Hitchcox drag system. It's comfy, plenty fast enough for what it is and sounds unbelievably good. I weigh about 115kg-120kg with gear on and have no complaints with the standard shock, I'm glad I didn't upgrade now.
There is nearly always a negative in reviews about the stiffness of the rear shock. From your experience, have you ever adjusted it? Is there much adjustment to it? I think that possibly, it may be reviewers just jumping on a bike with the shock wound up from the factory.
Bro today I was like hey maybe I'll go for the triumph bobber let's find good reviews and bam here you are 1 day earlier posting a bobber review! you're the goat!
I got this same one. Added a fly screen from Power bronze in purple. It works really well at 80-110. I no longer hate cruising at 90 in an 80 zone. My suspension just has the COC spring and it works wonders. Bought a hyperpro rear suspension, so I'll be happy to see how it changes. Stock, I thought this bike was actually really damn good.
Great Review brother, always on point. Purchased mine last week , arriving on Monday , im excited. Although the comparisson with your Harley is a bit weird , harley is more cc different bike PLUS 5k euro more in europe than the harley so its definately a purchase !!! ...we speak about cruiser , if i want real quick ill get a sportsbike lol Greetings from Greece
Thanks for the video man, it was awesome (with the cop stop n all😅). I’m more like an MT-09 and MT-10 guy, but I have to say, the looks of those Yamaha bikes, sucks, compared to the Triumph Bonneville family. These bikes look superb, and they ride pretty well too. Look at that gas tank paint job! Marvelous! Super cool. The rear suspension is too hard though. If I were buying a Bonneville style bike, I would go for the 1200 XE Scrambler. That would be my bike of choice from Triumph in this classic lineup
Hm, I thought that this was going to be your set up for thr Distinguished Gents, I find the key placement amusing and it is inters5that it has only two modes but am a small bike person never the less it is cute.
As a Triumph T120 gold line and Triumph Trophy SE owner the Bobber needs to grow about 25% in all areas. Triumph seriously needs to build a full blown cruiser with hard bags and front fairing. They are missing out on the long distance Cruiser market completely. I had to purchase an Indian Chieftain for long distance cruising because they have nothing in this market. My T120 is a lovely bike but no good for all day cruising, you get thrown all over on the highway in North America.
The sportster S doesn't compete with this bike though, it looks pretty weird if you're into more of a classic look. I feel like the triumph bobber nails it in the looks category and if you're looking for more speed then you probably aren't looking at these.
@@Cengiz-kr6gzNope you can put a rear seat on it but it's very expensive. Thornton hundred sells them an they cost almost £5000. Go check out there custom bobbers which sell for around 35k and are extremely popular with celebrities.

I've got a '23 bobber. It's my first bike and I love it. I've customized it a lot and it never fails to bring a smile to my face!
im buying one of these soon and i couldnt be more excited. been a sport bike junkie my whole riding career but its time to move to my dad bike era
You will love it especially when you put an after market exhaust on it i have 1 myself

I can also speak to the C o C Customs springer seat mount. It was literally a game changer for ride quality.
do u have an insta page, would be amazing to see ur bike. i own a bobber myself, bought 2 months ago

Well I rode one of these and the power is more than adequate, it’s not a “sports bike”😊

@@thepub245 the standard rear shock is non adjustable, even for preload. I just don't have expectations of an armchair on wheels.

I'm not really a bobber type of guy but this is a badass looking bike that I could see myself riding 👌🏻
I have this exact bike but a 2023! beautiful comfy and plenty of room to make it make more power!
You can supercharge them which takes them to 150 bhp
Can't wait til you ride the new 2025 Triumph Speed Twin !!
One of my original dream bikes.
Look at your options to get it my man, not unobtainable at all!
Triumph best looking bike ❤
You should ride a scout 101
Oh im hyped, its a f'in motorcycle. yeah it don't ride like a bagger its a piece of art.
Im not into cruisers but that machine looks siiick
Triumph Roswell has a Coffee shop right next door! Don’t have to drive far either your newly bought cafe racer 🤙🏾
You walked up to that bike outside the showroom, like Romero, in Escape from New York. 🤣

Top torque is 4250. Top HP is 6000. This bike is fast as shit in that rev range, but the bike feels so nice and natural around 3k
@@logangodofcandyCan supercharge them as well
Big fan, of your review. If you can do one of Speed twin 1200 (2025, whatever the newest one). Please do a review & that will be awesome!
You mentioned forward controls….yes there is a kit available from triumph. Conversely you can also fit the mid controls on the Speedmaster.
The mids on this are very comfy. I'm 6."

Check out the Thornton Hundred custom bobbers ❤
Greetings Mr. Chase!

Will this be ok for a first bike?
I want one of these so bad
I've got 1. They sound incredible with an after market exhaust. Go google thornton hundred triumph bobbers

What does that right-most icon mean next to the gas hole? You got Use Caution, RTFM, and... No GPS?
nice looking bike
Not really sure how you can compare your own Harley to this bike but I will take you word for it.
I'll choose the Sprinter S with mid controls over this to be honest.
Better than any Harley
Nice gloves, what is it?
Hi
How tall are you?
want some rocket 3 in this style
Look up Thorton Hundred motorcycles. Thats the look you are going for
I feel this is more of a Scout Bobber competitor than a Sportster S.

I get you for sure, but for someone my age 20-30's I see this as the coolest bike manufactured right now 100%
Where’s the link for the cop interaction? 😂

I've never understood speed category, you hit enough speed you go, "I have tried my luck"
OC "Today's gonna be a good day, guys."
-Gets pulled over
Its gotta have the ape bars....go big or go home. 🤣
can you fit an extra seat on it? or you're gonna be lonely forever?
No you cant! Lonely forever!!!!! Best thing
Technically, yes. However, this is almost the same as the speedmaster. Buy the speedy

Tag check before the sound check?!?!?! ;-)
Okay so I love this
How can you pass on the bobber 🤦🏽♂️ it's 1 of the best bikes on the road an turns more heads than a ducatti.
Get out of here, been waiting on this.
Take off the rear fender and call her Lorena Bobber.
If you’d only complied lol.
I remember when I wanted one of these... Then I didn't
For me.... this style of Motorcycle has always looked like a rolling piece of garbage. That's not the look that i'm after. Good video though!
