In japan it's common for people to tell their crush that they like them. They confess their loved and kokuhaku (confession) or kokuhaku suru (confess) is often used in this context. It's sort of the equivalent of someone asking someone out: "Oh, hey... really like you (and I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me?)" etc.
i think the off beat tone is part of her charm. the way she pitches her voice is amazing! Koeda is only 17 or something like that! she is crazy young for how good she is, check out her single Aozora!
Love how the opening's[my dearest] MV is in a dark, black place and is really a soft song. While the Ending's mv is in a bright place and is a really upbeat song. And opening states that the lover is needed while ending sings that other lover is running to her/his lover's side.[not sure about the last sentence, people who know japanese, enlighten me]

Well, they're not exactly filmmakers... But they do have some very talented illustrators like Miwa Shirow and Redjuice who designed all those popular Vocaloid art and Guilty Crown. Supercell's pretty much conquered the anime/music world already.
How can you compare? Have you heard the other girl's version interchangeably? I think each singer, whether Nagi, Chelly, Koeda...made the song the sung their own. Well done to all.
