For the people in the comments saying he’s disappointing because of his crush grip dmg fall off: you are not supposed to be spamming crush grip. You use it once on mid at full hp. Then you max move and if it’s still alive you have G Giga Impact with a free move next applied thanks to the max move. The sides will get destroyed by 2 crush grips max regardless of fall off. That’s IF the sides don’t get one shot.
I want Normal to just bypass/ignore Standard Damage Reduction the way crits ignore the screens. There's never any se damage, so I think it's a good tradeoff. That way, rather than doing 2x to any type-weak foe like se types, Normals can do 1.8x more than all other off types. It would also be fun for the three Last Word Strikes. Speaking of, pls showcase the three Last Word Strikes under Normal Zone, thx (Morty vs Drasna b/c she uses Toxic after her Sync).

I expected a little more tbh. His Vice Grip shouldn't diminish with HP, I think. That would at least make him a bit more consistent. I hope he'll get a normal type rebuff synch pair to help him out, preferably a secondary damage dealer.

I’m a bit confused why people are so shocked that Normal Zone is a thing. Back when they first announced Zones in the dev letter, they mentioned that there would be one for every type eventually. (Yes, even ones like Fire and Psychic. Psychic Wish is in the game on Latias, and it sets Psychic Terrain). There will also be a Normal type Rebuff eventually, I guarantee it.
I think the best thing about Palmer is that since he is a normal type damage dealer, he will deal that 20k-30k damage to ANY type. So he can be used for any stage which is pretty dope.
After seeing this not sure I want to get him any more. I'm sure he can do decent damage if you Crush Grip early and then use his G move and Max Moves later but he isn't as nice as I thought. Ill probably wait to see next months units and then decide.
I am interested in a 3 Normal Type Team with him. I know it wouldn't do much and most of the other Normal types are heavy gauge users but I would be interested to see if he could pull off such a team.

He's not that great but... if a new support unit is released that does team weakness type shift that only affects normal type like other type shift units like Blue Arcanine or something... that's a different story.

@bensteele007 you probably want to use another dps instead of Steven. Depending on your parameters, it’ll be hard to one shot sides with crush grip and you don’t want to be spamming it because of the dmg fall off. So another dps will make it much more consistent.
@@EatWholeFoods69 As the one above me has said, you probably want another DPS over Steven. Like Hugh, for example. Or, you could replace Bulu with Hugh, since Steven’s debuffs help. Either or, a secondary DPS will help.

He hit almost 50k damage with a +10 G Giga impact (no support ex buff and while running some strength and defense buffs)
His sync can kill the sides (first sync) then just max move then G Giga impact... Everything's dead.
