Hey, SCOTT here, we sold you that controller. That is an aftermarket version of the trigger controller. I would be curious to know what grill you have? From the volume standpoint, that controller only works as designed in grills That are about 700 in.² of cooking surface I mean it’s actually a volumetric sizing but it will work on the pit boss 700s, and 1000s, and both of the Traeger 22 and 34 series. What’s the grill that you have there?
Ok, here’s what’s going on. The controller your using is a clone of the Traeger BAC365 GEN 1 Pro controller which was sold with the P22 and P34 series. It can be used with really any pellet grill with a volumetric barrel similar to the 22 or 34 and using a burner with a 2 RPM drive motor. All of the PB grills with the vertical old style controls are basically Traeger clones. I will admit I was not aware of there being a p setting button hidden under the PCB. Traeger claims that these boards did not need a P setting because they were AGL controllers or advanced grill logic, but they seem to stop short of saying that they were PID ...which obviously they are not. I should have picked up on this. I have one of these in my Traeger. PB and Traeger use different “on” cycles for their controller. Traeger is 15 seconds and PB is 18 seconds. Traegers default p setting is P4 and PB default is P2. Using this controller on a PB with a large barrel, P5 is interesting but not out of the ballpark. I’m going to do some tests with mine and I’ll send you a link when I’m done
Ok good. The default setting for PB is actually P4 not P2. Glad to see this is being looked at, as the information I was getting from customer service was not at all correct and very frustrating.

Hey Scott, any updates?
Seems to me this controller was not much of an upgrade over the OEM unit.
Main thing is having the probe inputs. The old controller didn't have that.
Never mind I just saw the title of the video. Do you have an 820 deluxe
Yes
