@@jd3455 I mean, they’ve got his legacy tools down. No one is out here gettin hit my rising sun. It’s just some of his new tools people aren’t getting used to in my opinion. I think Kazuya has a similar thing as Heihachi. Hei has weak lows, but his mids are so good people get scared to duck. So his lows become good. Kaz has some garbage mids like his df+1, but most people are waiting to see what follow up you do so their reaction time is slowed down. To the point where it almost behaves like a traditional df+1. Same deal with db+1. Stop short and that’s almost a frame trap right there like df+1 into glorious demon godfist with the punch parry. Plus df+1 tracks to his weak side.
It’s tough. I’ve only done it twice in online matches and I dropped the combo because I wasn’t ready. There’s a million ways to mess up. The timing after the df+2, inputting the neutral at just one frame, reacting to either the audio or visual cues until it becomes muscle memory, doing PEWGF too late, doing PEWGF too early, dealing with any potential delay frames, accuracy and consistency of the PEWGF input overall, completing the combo and not panicking out of shock that you actually did it, the HAND PAIN OF PRACTICING IT OVER AND OVER! It’s tough but not impossible. If anybody else can do it, you can do it too.
Honestly the pewgf takes way too much execution to pull off consistently especially online with input delays, it took me months to be able to just do one in practice mode back in TTT2 era lol, the easy part about it is that it’s just the timing you have to get down, but that timing is so precise you’d have to get possessed by the spirit of Kazuya to pull it off.
I encounter worse that was not so bad, just bad read. Would try another 50/50 to block. Dragunov and Reina are now much worse. Kazuya is honest now I think.
My favoirite new attack for Kaz is db1,2 ... such a great tool, cool animantion and voice line, great oki tool, 13 frame fast, lots of mind games
2nd hit is launch punishable
@@jd3455majority of players aren’t punishing it yet. Might as well put it to use.
@@JoeGodHand true true dunno why lol, I thought kazuya is the most labbed character I would assume most of them would know his matchup well
