I was on this tour, and Eunice captured the experience well. One thing worth noting is that you really won't find that many vegan options in Cambodia unless you speak the language or stay in populated city centres like Siem Reap, Phnom Penh. So even if you went to the locations listed here, you wouldn't get the same experience that we got because our guide, Mony, had to custom-order most of the dishes. If you go on your own, don't stay at hotels, get a kitchen, and cook up fresh food for yourself, as you can find markets even in the smallest of towns. I think if you're plant-based or vegan and travel to Cambodia, you will need a kitchen -- or else you can opt to do a tour like this, which, for the convenience and experience, I'd highly recommend. Shoutout to Mony, who made this one of the best tours I've ever done!
Aloha Eunice. Wow! What a great visual tour of Cambodia. You seem to be having the time of your life. Your smile was so expressive, and you look to be glowing with joy. The food looked amazing. I never seen any of these dishes before. Thank you for expanding my culinary knowledge. You are definitely an international vlogger. I hope to do the same one day. So good to see you again, take care. Aloha.😁🌴
@@joshhawkins292 awww thank you so much for this message!!! It means so much !! 🥹 thank you so much for watching and I am so glad you enjoyed the video. Hope you also get to travel soon too! Aloha!!
Eunice, I dont understand why you don't have at least 100K subscribers or more....your videos are so well filmed and produced and you are such a natural talent in front of the camera! I am not sure I will ever make it to Cambodia, but I have watched so many of your North American videos and bookmarked dozens of places in my ever growing list of cities to visit on google maps.
@loverofsong9830 Hey Bong and Slam Dunk Vegan are both fully vegan. Then there is New Leaf, which has many vegan options. There are many more here that have vegan options. Most of them are on the Happy Cow app!
@@Mr.BradRaven Thank you so much for the suggestions! I’ll remember to look on Happy Cow. Love the app! 🌱🥰 I’ve read that many toxic pesticides are used in Cambodia and Vietnam Nam, and organics haven’t caught on as much as in the states. Is it easy to find reasonably priced organic produce etc.?
The food reminds me of Vietnamese, Thai, Indian, Chinese and Japanese (a little) foods! It all looks delicious! I had almost no concept of Cambodian food before this, so this is great! Cool that you went to see the processes for making banana and rice products! The bats!! Wow! ❤ I adore bats! Such beautiful, precious, animals! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for watching! Yes you're right, although Phnom Penh and Siem Reap have many vegan restaurant options, the country as a whole still isn't as vegan friendly as the US or Europe but there are options so honestly it's worth it to do the tour.
Curious about that photo with the circus crew. Were they tossing you in the air or were you sitting on something elevated? Btw, amazing photos and video!
I'm sorry to say but unless you are in a real vegan restaurant all vegetables, curries....have oyster sauce or fish sauce. Ilive in Siem Reap and very few Khmer understand the concept of veganism.
@@Nina-vf8ny our tour guide did a very great job of communicating no fish sauce or oyster sauce to each restaurant they worked with :) we had a great experience.. sorry you didn’t
Don't be sorry Nina, I agree with you, real vegans must be the most annoying and pretentious group ever! Why not just chow down on a tree and call it a day? All this complaining, self-righteous, attention-seeking nonsense, so insufferable...not all vegans tho, only the ones that preach and complain, this was a nice video.

Great video. It looks difficult to get vegan food there though. Unless on a tour with a guide who did a wonderful job but the looks of it.

Cambodians actually call if Num Bhine. Similar to Slavic Bliny since Cambodians were in contact with other kingdoms such as Russia and France.
enjoy your trip and foods around the kingdom of Cambodia
