What a great vid duncan😊..i loved this method back in the 80s...i used sliding knot.....for float the largest drennan weather beater....with bulbous red tip😊....a really sensitive float...spot a lift bite perfectly......or the lake grey float....... would colour the tips on some depending on light conditions.....had many a good bream and tench on this method😊.. ahhhh the memories ❤
Float fishing, especially the waggler, almost a forgotten method these days. Glad it bought so many great memories back and than you so much for the comment.
Personally I think bream will disapear and all that will be left will be catfish if present as they will eat anything born into the water. Fortunately carp will still be around as they are relatively cheap and can be introduced quite big.
@@duncancharmanangling1136 in Somerset mate the otters have all but emptied the rivers, canals of carp, any Stillwater without a fence has had most of the big carp taken, they have the slowest first! Pike they like any size! But have never seen or heard of a tench or bream on the bank! They do have cats! And barbel they like as well. Replacing 5 30+ commons ain't cheap mate.
Great informative video as always. Nice to see something a bit different. Many thanks.
Thanks Neil, appreciate the comment and will be doing a few more float fishing vids in the coming months
Nice one Duncan ! Great video !
Cheers Dave, the sort of thing you might try...

Cheers Mark, see you soon....
Brilliant Duncan, lovely way to catch 'em. Another great vid. Gas masks now standard issue on your guiding trips I guess? 🙂
Yes they are
it is fun catching them on the waggler i used to do it at old bury hill, always made me laugh when they came flying out the water when you hooked them.
Hi Mike, the silver bream did the same at Mill Farm Fishery. Takes you by surprise on the first occasion.
Hi duncan nice fish them, had that peg in a club match a couple of weeks ago had 2 liners one small perch D,N.W 10 to 3 not the best times for them
It can be a moody place, especially at this time of year and when the wind keeps swinging...
nice one
Thanks
Bream shoals are a keystone indicator of a good all around habitat..yay for da breamies..

😂"I've got a huge waggler on I'm gonna show that to you later 😂😂😂

Glad you enjoyed it...
Enjoyable as always, but I feel sorry for anybody fishing downwind of you.
Lake was empty, so no complaints on this occasion!
Pretty soon thats all that will be left in a lot of waters even the Otters dont like em😂

There's nothing better to start the day off, like a good fart.
Totally agree!
Who the fuck would choose to catch bream
Me!
@@duncancharmanangling1136 sounds like you like getting fish gee on your waggler
People who aren't slipper wearing bivvy divvies?
nooooooooooo not slimy orrible Bream. They just make all your fishing tackle stink
Great catching them and reliable when conditions are tough but you do ask the question, why, when driving home!
