Hey this is my first time watching your instructional videos.... excellent job I just picked up squeeze the singles wasn't trying to learn this song found your video was playing the song in 10 minutes thank you
Pretty good lesson, but - the bass note on the F# chord is A# (not F#) - 1st inversion chord; & the bass notes for all those A chords near the end of the Chorus is E, not A. I play that G/A chord like this (from low to high strings): X05430. And I play that G/F like this: 1X0003 (1st finger & pinkie). Those have a much more open feeling, although I play acoustic, so I like lots of open strings in my chords. But I know all those open strings can be a problem on electrics, w/ extra noise, feedback, etc. Also, I stumbled on this wild way of playing an Eb chord: X65046. I don't use a pick, so muting/leaving out strings is easier.
Hey Jon Rusty Allen here. Two & a half year guitar player. Black coffee is a great song like so many others that you've taught, but I'm having difficulty with the B minor & G/A chords. I have Carpal Tunnel, tendonitis, and nerve damage in both arms and hands. As you can imagine that greatly effects my playing abilities. I physically can not do most 4 chords, nor can I spread my fingers enough to get a lot of 3 chords also. When it comes to songs like this I usually have to replace the chords I can't do with easier ones......not always as well sounding. Could you possibly tell me how to play these chords differently, I get very confused with all the available info online. Thank you Rusty Allen 🎸
Hi John. Great lesson. Many thanks. I could never figure the A sus4 , Sus2 bit. Nice chords. Also. Please please tell me - what sort of Tele is that ? I’ve scoured the Web and cannot find it anywhere. I’m going nuts here! Thanks again for all the great lessons.
Hey, 1st time viewer here. Got to ask about your fingernails on your left hand. Did you at one point have the nail cut painfully back so all you have left at the tips is flesh? Weird question, I know, but...

That first progression is also from People Get Ready
Great lesson. Would like to hear the whole song played through before the lesson.
Love your lessons Jon. Could you possibly do life in the fastlane by the Eagles?

Might be a Nashville with a pickguard off of a thinline and a little custom work
