Truth is most people have their own burdens, addictions and they will have compassion because they know they also need deliverance. This was powerful my brother as most lives are destroyed due to this secretive addiction.

The way to freedom is recognising and acknowledging the sin and confessing it. It’s no longer in the dark as you have confessed done do and about it. So you are already free. Always confess that you are a new a creation in Christ, the old has fallen away and the new have come. Whenever you battle with the desire to watch it and even when you find yourself watching it confess that you are not addicted, you are a new creation. Eventually you will get over it. God give you strength.

I just wanna say, You know addiction I.e., porn is a problem, we sought out after/ seek as a solution to cover up the areas of our lives we feel neglected in I.e., lack of love a/o childhood trauma. Not knowing it feeds of our Godly-purpose/ Destiny, thus your statement "pornography (addiction) Is after our individual purposes" is very much true!. It derails the trajectory of our purpose/s by just mixing-up it nje, too an extant whereby you'll find yourself ukuthi 'Yes you are busy, but you are busy doing nothing!'. Why? Cause manje you're no longer walking in your God-assigned journey but are Journaling a Journey that's not yours. I also thought ' No, by default when i accept Christ as my personal Lord & savior. I am free from all my past problems. Yes, I am neh but than again it takes work, it will take work to be completely free from the spirit of addiction. I'd say the same amount of work one puts in, by entertaining these thoughts, & creating patterns that lead to a life of enslavement/ bondage by the spirit of addiction. Why? I'll use your testimony for context, because you're still going to come across magazines; posts and and and that'll serve as a trigger to your addiction. I.e., someone will decide to post a naked-picture; a certain song will elucidate a sexual-scenary; a certain chapter in the novel you're reading will draw a mental pic similar to your favorite pornstar scene; someone's daughter/ son will walk past you half-naked if not completely. Thus, I say Yes I am free for scripture tells me "that whosoever the son sets free is free indeed", but that doesn't make me immune to triggers. This is why I quote "I stopped in the middle" it shows that it won't be easy. You are required to work!. You also mentioned, I think 'prayers/ asking for prayers'. Now with this concept of prayer, prayer alone isn't going to help (it might, depending on the depth of your addiction) your prayer life will need to be coupled up with 'Work!'= asking God to grant you strength to build & strengthen your spirit inner man. Why? Addiction is very much spiritual & because as a child of God "we don't battle against flesh, but with authorities, principalities & rulers of darkness (Our battle is spiritual! They ought ought be won in the spirit!). Now, you'll need to pray & distance yourself from triggers/ train your mind (this powerhouse needs to be disciplined, I needs to be aware of the changes taking place & unlearn all the patterns that led to this bondage). Which brings me to the concept of 'Obedience! Discipline!Priorities! Accountability (something you also mentioned)! Self-respect! FEAR OF THE LORD!!! (amongst other concepts).
