To make the best use of crit use your stat points on strength while keeping your precision at 80% coupling that with crit rate and crit damage will give you extremely high damage but you have to master the use of extreme evasion.

might just be a skill issue. I beat multiple levels even Igris with a lower power level than what's recommended. Just pick the weapons the boss is weak against and dodge.

Genuinely just focus on clearing story and unlocking content, stack attack and crit where you can but don't worry about min maxing

WDYM? break skills are there from the get go
You can unlock it at lvl 55 or by getting lucky when creating/getting armor break runes.
skill runes and change skills to skills with break ability
