@TheZeke1974 It is likely designed for the "Ranger boards" Ranger, RCI, Galaxy, etc, as their internal circuitry is the same. I think the CP-1 just works in conjunction with the circuits already installed, rather than disabling them. This keeps it small, inexpensive, and easy to install.
@cbradiomagazine On AM mine doesn't seem to do a massive amount. On the modulation meter of the radio it still moves a lot either way with voice pitch... BUT Power "swing" is reduced a lot.. power output is kept more "flat" On SSB it is definitely noticeable. While low voice levels still deflect a low amount on the meter, in a sentence say, the power stays very close to full scale with only minimal fluctuation. It didn't give me the results I expected, but it seems to help
All the naysayers about anything that involves "modding" any radios are the ones that likely buy and use a stock radios out of the box aka the mud ducks..

Had DTB Radio tune my DX-959. He knows how to tailor the compression on the radio. I bought one haven't installed it.

Still waiting on your video of the finished product. I put one in my DX-949 and it seems to do what it was designed for.

@zLOSTNOMOREz Probably because the "Modulator" is being used instead of the compressor. 2 different devices.
Will this work in the older president grant? The 858 pll.
how can i by one
The AMC probably needs readjusted to account for voice compression.
You know, there is a reason most shops remove or disable the top gun in Magnum radios!
They make a radio sound like trash!
Snake radios should know a lot about snake oil
He's the snake in the grass
