I love the second one, the dialogue was so silly and the fight scenes weren’t too bad!

Deathstalker 2 was an absolute gem. Cinematic gold. Deathstalker series still better that the Ator series.

The first movie was a huge hit in movie theaters. People forgot that. I've tried to watch the sequels over and over again but they're so campy. I will always love the original movie.

This review entirely misses the point of the Deathstalker franchise because the narrator knows nothing about the influence of the most successful literary sword and sorcery franchise of the 1980s, John Norman's Gor novels, which is not mentioned at all in the review, a major oversight since Howard Cohen's scripts for the movie was heavily influenced by the Gor novels.
Take the very first scene of the first Deathstalker movie: a man leading a half-naked, pretty female captive through the woods. She's in bondage, her hands are tied together with a rope that her captor holds. (The Gor novels were big on bondage.) A tribe of Really Ugly Guys sneaks up the man and when he lays the girl down on a convenient boulder and starts raping her, they attack. They battle for the woman, who lies around looking confused, like "I thought I was gonna get raped here." One of the Ugly Guys tries to rape our still-bound damsel, but Deathstalker, who has snuck up on them out of nowhere, kills him. And all the other Really Ugly Guy Tribe members. The Original Guy thanks Deathstalker for rescuing him and his captive rape victim, but then Original Guy tries to put a shiv in his back, but Deathstalker is too quick and kills the Original Guy instead. So then Deathstalker uses a knife to pin Captive Rape Victim to a tree by her bonds (she's been waiting around for her rape I guess) and starts raping her. (She just can't catch a break!) He's interrupted by a messenger/preist, who has a message for Deathstalker. While Deathstalker is talking with Messenger guy, the captive slips out of the tree bondage and high-tails it into the woods, and when Deathstalker tells the messenger guy to piss off he's got a woman to rape, he discovers he has lost his chance.
(Some may object to my use of the term "rape" here but at NO time does anyone ask for her permission about anything, in fact they don't even listen to her pleas to let her go.)
Now that's just the first ten minutes or so of the movie. Really sets the stage! And it's just straight out of a Gor novel, especially the part where the "hero" is just as much of a rapist as the bad guys. The major difference being that in a Gor novel Deathstalker would have succeeding in raping the damsel and she'd just naturally fall in love with him and declare herself his love slave when he ties her up afterward. (The love slavery part was what made the Gor novels so successful, there was a LOT of it, and the publisher said the Gor novels sold more copies than all the other DAW publications' fantasy authors combined, and that about two thirds of the buyers were female.)
Knowing this background makes the movie richer, because Deathstalker is the most Gorean sword and sandal movie ever made, and that includes the two Gor novel movie adaptations that WERE made, Gor and Outlaw of Gor. Both written by an idiot hack who had no idea what he was doing. But Howard Cohen, he knew what he was doing all right. And now so do you.
    You're welcome!

THIS is not a "lost" movie. If a flick can be SEEN anywhere (on disc, on streaming, or on You Tube here for example) then it isn't "lost".

I've watched a couple of these as a kid, barely remember anything besides the title and main character being a blonde barbarian.

This script for this video repeats itself like an attention starved child repeating the same words again and again. Don't let AI make your videos, tighten that shit up. You say something once it's enough, move on.
