Unfortunately I didn't find any recording of the version for piano and orchestra - some specialists I contacted didn't find either. However the score of the version for piano and full orchestra is available on the CeBeDeM (The Belgian Centre for Music Documentation), together with the score for piano and band and the score for two pianos. I wish that a conductor like you will perform this splendid work with a full orchestra ! Corentin Boissier (collectionCB, collectionCB2 and collectionCB3)
Thank you so much for this very helpfull message. It is extremely difficult to find Jongen's scores. The information you give here is precious for all of us who love his music, which is my case.
Hello John, Unfortunately the CeBeDem doesn't exist any longer. It has considered too costly and has been disbanded. It's a tragic loss. About this Jongen's work, the two-piano reduction is available here: catalogue.cmg.ch/Search/Detail/50109?query=auteur%3A%22Jongen,%20Joseph%22&size=50&page=3&sort-by=p The work was originally scored for piano and symphony orchestra, but seems never to have been recorded to date in this version... @@collectionCB3 THanks, Corentin. I know that CeBeDem does not exist but where did the library go? CeBeDem was the only source for many works of Jongen and many other Belgian composers. Thank you, I have the two piano score but if you need the parts and orchestra score to this piece, where is it?
@@minacciosa Hello John, I found the place in Belgium where the full score and separate parts are. I just sent you a private message at your email address. Best regards, Corentin Boissier
Each four days, collectionCB3 uploads a work for piano and orchestra. I'm not specialized (like you) in piano concertos. The specificity of collectionCB, collectionCB2 and collectionCB3 : orchestral (symphonic and concertante) works of feelings, from the late XIXth century to nowadays. Thank you very much for making us know those wonderful works ande composers and give the access to works, we otherwise never ever wouldn't have known !
Utterly fantastic!
Wish there were a recording of this in its original version for piano and orchestra. It's a terrific piece.
