Absolutely wonderful, the music and the videos. It reminded me of the travels I did in Europe, the joy of seeing all those beautiful places. Lovely memories. Now I'm 71, retired and in the midst of this pandemic. One of the things that keeps me going is listening to my favorite music and this is one of them. IF more people were to don tails and gowns, learn some repartee, dance the night away cheek to cheek under gilded chandeliers to music from a live orchestra, perhaps the world would be less vulgar. It matters not if to waltzes or to samba, what matters is innocent human contact in the spirit of peace and kindness.
If there is anything virtuous, lovely or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things. Such are these lovely waltzes that remind us of times gone by when grace, beauty and elegance were virtues to strive after.
Love to listen to waltzes...I can not dance physically but I dance gracefully in my imagination...and that's good enough for me to get me through my day...
Take me away to a distant land far from here.Where I can know peace and can hide from the disparate noises of the city.I want to sequester myself into the hinterlands of an alpine landscape.There is so much of the world to see, but we have only a finite existence and we are tied town by social expectations we must fulfill.I have realized how fleeting existence is, and would know like to start living according to a more authentic lifestyle dictated by my own wishes and desires.I'd like to break out of the monotonous lifestyle like many people, but instead all we do is just dream and carry on.We don't realize what happiness actually is, rather happiness is often created by the consumerist culture creating false needs.I do find it ironic that this music is so profound yet only has such a small number of views - it is at the pinnacle of artistic expression and creative genius, these waltzes are more than walzes , they are are an elegant succession of the most mellifluous sounds coalesced into a finite melody that is angelic in composition and sound.
I've come to notice that Shostakovich's Second Waltz is on almost every waltz compilation I watch and I'm not surprised as it is one of my favorite pieces of music of all time.
Just Awesome. I Am 84 years old & still kicking about. Beings back the old memories of the 1954s I was a teen age boy and we had clean & Wonderful Days . When we go for a dance , it was just honorable and great. No complications. My wife of 60 years & Still She is with me & it is just Great to brring back the magical moments of good old days.
