  • Here's an original Flamenco Guitar Rumba in B minor I call "Sueños Gitanos". Learn it here in TABS and NOTATION: benwoods.sellf...
Most of it is fairly simple except some challenging Alzapua and ending with some of the fastest Arpeggios I've ever played. The rhythm is a cross between Rumba Flamenca and Saidi (a belly dance rhythm commonly played throughout Egypt and Turkey).
    Filmed on Lake Sammamish, WA.

I recently have been learning how to play a pretty complicated Malagueña (at least for me), if I want to keep learning Spanish guitar should I try a Rumba next or something else? What would be better? Your playing is very inspiring

Hi, I can't play the guitar very much because I'm just starting, but reaching the level you present is almost a miracle! The light years will pass and I will still be far behind you! Greetings from Poland, play and record more. Watching your videos motivates you to exercise. 👍👏🤩🎸🎼

I've found out that you never really know what you can do until you really
try and give it all you've got. I can do things on a guitar that I thought at
one time to be almost unattainable. But they seem ordinary now.

Love your music brother. Unfortunately I had an injury where my arm was almost severed in almost, cut my ulner nerve so I barely have use of my ring and pinky fingers. Been using a PIM pattern ever since, slowly adding A. But knowing that I will never be able to excel beyond a certain level due to the injury is a hard pill to swallow! Keep the videos coming my dude!

    Hey Ben happy 2022!
This morning I picked up the guitar to play along with something I was listening to on TV and I wanted to do some single notes and the pic was nowhere around and my picado technique stinks when it comes to soloing with any degree of controll. Then I remembered how you would take your thumb and index finger of the right hand squeeze it together and make the adjustment so you can have an automatic pick right there which is the index nail of course... I wasn't blazing through like you would, but the 8th and 16th notes came up pretty clean. And that's all I was looking for at the moment!!! It also let me know that if I grow the nail a little bit longer kinda file it down just to the right angle, and practice string skipping speed burst and arpeggios stuff like that, I can do the same thing that I can do on the electric guitar with a real pic!! I'll never have a picado like you , Paco, and the rest of my FLAMENCO Heros... but learning this technique will allow me to play consistently without reaching for a pick to play those fast runs and put it back in its spot so I can continue with the fingerstyle techniques.
    MR. BENJAMIN WOODS
Thank you SOOOOO MUCH for this much appreciated and treasured technique! I can't express my gratitude anymore!! You and yours have a wonderful safe and prosperous 2022!!!🥂🔥
