Why give Big Ted all the airtime? He was such a flop as Premier that he opened the door for a then unlikely win for Andrews and Labor. I guess it was easier than getting a coherent response from the current LNP rabble.

apart from Brack's comments, this was a very one sided report against Andrews, and without Brack's additional comments, didn't present both sides of quite a few situations. Especially on the east-west link, which was a clearly a huge part of the platform he took to the election because there was a lot of community backlash about it. In addition, it only cost that money because the former liberals went ahead and signed contracts at a time where they should not have been with the election on the horizon, knowing if they lost (which was likely) it was going to be canned. It was a deliberate move by the then libs to dump the costs on the public which could have been easily avoided. I'm always super irritated when Andrews gets blamed for those costs. There is a ton of other things that are worthy of discussion labor of recent years probably hasn't got right, but that's not one of them.

Daniel Andrews resignation means that, since 1955, Jeff Kennett is the only Victorian premier to have been voted in and out of the job via the electoral process. BTW, nice to hear the gracious words and balanced opinion of Ted Baillieu, a first-hand expert on what poor governance and weak leadership looks like.

Some of the worst reporting i've been by ABC in a while. With a title as neutral as "Daniel Andrews resigns as premier of Victoria," you'd expect it to be a relatively informative, unbiased piece and not a 6 minute dan bash presented by former liberal party premiers. If you want to write a hit piece it needs to have a hit piece title.

I supported it... I knew that something was coming, it was due! I just didn't know what it was going to be or how deadly.... I was prepared for the worst.
But I do believe that there should have been a lockout before a lockdown, in a lockout scenario, anyone coming into the country is picked up and taken into quarantine! A lockdown of one week right at the beginning while the country prepares for a pandemic and then the country can get back to normal life!
Instead we just let people into the country and into the population and then you wonder why we have to lockdown the boarders like we did in 1918...
Our distance from the rest of the world was our protection once apon a time, now days pandemics travel a lot faster and if we allow people to enter the country without sending them into quarantine when a possible pandemic could be in force, then we only have ourselves to blame for the lengthy lockdown periods....
The world isn't the place that you think it is, no one owes you a perfect life! There's much more tougher times ahead, be prepared for the worst and when that time arrives it won't be so bad....
