funny......Last night, we had a complete Deluge of rain and thunder for hours and hours (my wife and I sleep outside in a gazebo, so we really experienced it). I was quite unprecedented for this area and caused lots of chaos/damage. Then I come in the house and begin to listen to this................a continuation, but more like the glorious calm after the storm..........love the way the ending seems to unfold........................
I thought you were talking about jamming outside for hours on the Synthstrom Deluge at first 😅
Yeah, it's not often that one uses the word Deluge with a capital D.......good point
that's timing 🙂 ... I can empathize with that very well ... we live in a converted trailer ... always very close to nature and the weather and we've already had 2 floods here (also in the house).
water indoors? Sounds like a real nightmare. I know what can be very destructive and hard to control. Living close to nature - the ultimate, especially in these times when the world (especially the tech side of things) seems to be getting farther and farther out of balance, and out of control.......................)
I especially love the muted ghostly voices..
Sounds amazing, the nature background and the rain blend seamlessly. At first I thought it was going to rain on the device 😂
Just gorgeous. You are a master of these devices and a skilled composer. As a musician, I feel like I want some behind the scenes with details on your process, but perhaps it's better to just let go, let it remain a mystery, and enjoy the art.
Thanks a lot 🙏 ... That's kind of exactly the description: "just let go, let it remain a mystery, and enjoy the art."
To keep exactly this point of view when making music. To simply be a tool for what is to come and to stand in the way as little as possible. Everything else is more of a minor matter.
In what you do, you are a master. Thanks for this, and your other works.
Transcendental bliss, you really do have a gift
Excellent track, haunting and subtle.

Thanks mate !!
Magnificent sound quality and a excellent performance.
Using some proper headphones make it a real treat.
👍🏼
Ps. How do keep this calm?😅
Nice work man
Thanks a lot mate !!
Really wonderful stuff!! Beautiful piano samples mixed in here.
Thanks mate !!
Beautiful. Do you record your own samples? There are many wonderful sounds here.
Thanks !! Yes .. I made most of the samples and loops while I was developing the piece.
Do you prepare everything mix-wise outside of the takt or do you put dry samples in and mix, compress, add reverb etc. Inside the box? I find it hard to make things sound "finished" in the box and keep going back to make the samples more "prepared" and slamming them back in.
I was just wondering since your stuff sounds so damn nice.
Thanks !! ... nice to hear that!
I think this has mainly to do with the fact that I now have nice speakers, a relatively extensively treated room and almost 30 years of time to make every conceivable mistake. But still, I'm definitely not 100% satisfied with the sound of every piece and there's still a lot to learn and room for improvement. I don't prepare every track, but some of them. At a certain point, it's more important to stay in the flow than to create a perfect sound. And the mastering afterwards also plays a role, of course. Whereby this should be less of a fix (very often the case in the past) than just the icing on the cake (which fortunately happens more and more often nowadays).
great sounds as usual... may i ask, which reverb did you use on this track ... ty
Thanks ... There are actually 3 reverbs involved ... Ventris, Valhalla Supermassive and Digitakt's own reverb
@@substan_music thank you for the reply bro ... all the elements re crucial for making your sound unique but reverb is definitely on the top ... also digitakt 2 is kinda worth try, now i need to buy 1 :)) , give us more digitakt 2 journeys ... take care .
So the rain is all syntakt? How many tracks are are doing rain? My attempt at rain doesnt sound near as good as this :D. Edit: doh, its a digitakt lol. Well i think my effort to syntheize rain and thunder on syntakt was pretty decent then, video on my channel if youre curious
