- Gentleman, UFC 305 has it's main event. Israel Adesanya taking on Dricus Du Plessis for the middleweight belt. Here are some of my thoughts on the matchup and who I think should win
You don't "fluke" your way to 7 consecutive wins in the UFC and end up champ. You should actually pay attention to what he does in the octagon. Dricus was a junior world kick boxing champion with an unbeaten record. 2×EFC champion and KSW champion.

He has too notch wrestling and tbh I don't think it's a stretch to say Dricus is as strong as Jan and he has far better BJJ I honestly could see this being a Strickland like performance through grappling instead of striking. Izzy isnt weak by anymeans but the blueprint is there and it has been done.
The grappling of Dricus can really be a threat for Izzy. I did see the rolling between Dricus and Gracie Barra and WOW Dricus is not given enough credit for his ground game. My worry is that Dricus will have a hard time closing the range mainly. I’ll be doing a breakdown of Dricus vs Izzy soon!!
@@LoxMMA I honestly didn't believe it myself a guy that big and unorthodox on the feet would be that composed on the ground and I also thought about that but his approach to fighting with his chin he doesn't go down easy but Izzy way more powerful than Sean and if Sean's jab was enough to do what it did to Dricus face I could only imagine what Izzy's straight would do. It is more of an interesting match up the more you think about it, I don't like Izzy and I'm very much awaiting this return.
