Thank you for your incredible appreciation, support, and overall being an incredible person, Marc! From a fan, friend, and someone that continues to look up to you! -Jonathan
My daughter worked as a barrista through university, so when she graduated I got her a Brew Metric Retro. She liked it, but the weight of the watch on ther bracelet, which is very well made, was not comfortable for her. We swapped out the bracelet with the Brew blue leather strap, which is significantly lighter and I personally think better complements the watch head. She isn't a watch enthusiast, but she loves wearing it and says that she gets a lot of positive comments about the watch.
I thought that my watch consumption was extreme, but it doesn't hold a candle to you! I'm going to stop buying and live vicariously through your vids. 😊
I thought the Super Metric looked great in photos. Seeing them live in your video REALLY makes them pop. The color you have is amazing. I was leaning towards the orange but this one looks amazing.
The online photos look terrible and were preventing me from buying one, but this video has changed my mind. Your videos and photos really DO make a huge difference. Most micro brands photos online look absolutely terrible.
Marc, thanks for doing this. I love your enthusiasm for the work of another dedicated member of the watch community. Very interesting to see the three watches head to head to head. They perfectly back up your point about Brew's achievement in having a distinct design language yet not repeating themselves on the actual watches. I was especially drawn to the Alton Brown Espresso, both as a fellow fan of AB and for the watch's very coffee-ish aesthetic. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Thanks for the great review. Just proves my point of you being an enthusiast first, businessman second. And you can tell that Brew puts a tremendous amount of thought into their designs. And to hear Jonathan is a nice guy is icing on the cake!
Since watches are really lifestyle statements this one makes more sense to me than a pilot's watch. I am much more likely to pour a cup of coffee than I am to fly an airplane. ☕ over ✈️. P.S. These watches look colorful and fun.
I watch on my phone mostly so the 1080 to 4K isn’t super noticeable Marc, but I did happen to catch the end of a video on my tv the other day and you can totally tell. Love it mate! Happy holidays, wishing you the best for 2025 sir!
Great video, great brand. I have the Brew 8-Bit and I love it - so unique but also versatile. Next will be the golden Metric and/or the Crimson slate Retrograph.
I was planning to order the very first Brew, the Metric. It’s been in and out of stock the past few months but it finally did they released the Super Metric Electric Blue. Finally bit the bullet and purchased my first Brew, the Super Metric Electric Blue. Love the retro style and color, been wearing it ever since. Will definitely order the original Metric soon. Nice review, Marc!
Mark my laptop is in 4k and when I go to your videos they default to 1080P, I can then change it to 4k on the settings, but just letting you know because in other channels it defaults to 4k when the video starts. I hope this helps. It may be happening to others as well.
I focus so much on content, I rarely notice recording differences (unless a recording sucks so bad I can’t stand it). Your recordings have always look good!
I would buy one if he manages to use the VK63 for the 12 hour totalizer…I time events longer than one hour , but I know it’s difficult to squeze three registers in his design
Video quality looks great! I have heard that to truly see 4k you also need a monitor capable of displaying it. But at some point for most people it just all looks good in my opinion. Haha. Great deal you have on the free bracelet with the snkl23 today so I picked one up, thanks!
I typically don’t like quartz watches; sort of has a “soulless” feel to me. However, I wanted a simple daily with some personality & likewise focused on a smaller label or microbrand. Ended-up choosing the Retrograph Lumint. It’s a nice piece for the price - decent materials & feel. The stock strap is terrible, but that’s usually the case for anything under $750 & I’m picky when it comes to grade of leather, clasps, etc. Anyhow; solid review! 👍🏻
I own one Brew, the Metric Retro Dial (great watch). That Super Metric - Lumina Yellow does have my eye. I do own three Henry Archer, so I know what it's like when you really fall for a brand!
I love my Brew Retrograph that I picked up at Windup NY a few months ago, so much different than anything else I have. I used the $50 that Marc gave me for wearing my Islander to the show towards the Brew. Sorry Marc :)
Omg, it’s your fault Marc that I now own two Casioaks myself. Lol. I never would have thought about them until I saw you wearing the white one on multiple video wrists checks. Now I’m a huge fan of them. I love your videos, thanks!
I agree with you. Really like it. Just bought myself a Christmas gift from you. A Phoibos Delphinus with the Amazonite dial, Already have the meteorite dial one. Keep up the good work!
Loving brew lately. Honestly was not a huge fan at first although the respect was still there. At the time was just not the biggest fan of the case. But I will say it’s grown on me. Thanks for sharing Marc. Merry Christmas!!!! And happy New Year!!!
So, I love it... but! I wish that they didn't put a circle inside the square. It wastes viewing space and normalizes the watch in a way that I'm not going for if I'm looking at a piece like that. Just embrace the square and give me a nice TV option. It's also a tad small. Myself, I'd take the Straton Speciale meca-quartz over this. It's fully TV, it's 42mm, the yellow and purple versions are better looking, and it's a good deal cheaper. I can completely appreciate that Brew is making some fantastic watches though and will keep an eye on them.
Do you always wear 2 watches, one on each wrist or just for your videos? I like to do it as well but sometimes get drug for it if I post a picture. I just really like to enjoy all my watches though ha-ha
This watch suffers from what I like to call Stock Image Syndrome. It looks cheap and toylike in the online photos but in real life it looks substantially better
Very original, like you said, you immediately know it’s a “Brew” watch. Thanks for sharing Marc, I hope you and your entire Island Watch team have a great Holiday Season.
Long time fan and customer, Marc. I feel it has to be said, let this pay to play stuff go. It’s really inconsistent with your approach to business and lending watches out to review.
While it is a nice watch I feel it is very pricey for a mecha quartz. The £450 - $500 price point is very competitive. Was looking at a couple of watches by Traska and you can quite often get them at this price point and put watches costing 5k to shame. If you want a value chronograph then Seagull has a few models with in house movements for half the price. I get it that you are paying for the styling but you can find quite a few watches with mecha quarts and similar styling for $100. I do not have a lot of money to spend on watches and that is probably what puts me off watches with quartz movements at this price point.
I get that, however, if the design resonates with you, it's worth it. There is nothing else out there quite like it (in my opinion), so he can sort of control the pricing market.
When you said 'super metric,' i thought my prayers had been answered, and they had made a bigger version. Alas, that was not the case. Excuse the pun 😆
Same here., I strongly agree that the Bitcoin ETFs approval will be greatly life opportunity for us, with my current portfolio of $102,500 from my investments with my personal financial advisor Steve Miley I totally agree with you😊
YES!!! That's exactly his name (Steve Miley) so many people have recommended highly about him and am just starting with him from Brisbane Australia...🇦🇺
He's my family's personal Broker and also a personal Broker to many family's in the United states, he is licensed and a FINRA AGENT in the United States.
In a watch world that can be a bit repetitive, Brew adds sone fun to the wrist. As to the stream, many times the incoming stream defaults to 1080p on my TV, 720p on my phone. You have to "force" a higher resolution.
Marc, you sold me … on the Brew/Brown (oh now I get it!) collab. That is a gorgeous watch. Seriously, I’m all in for any watch that doesn’t look like a dive watch. I like dive watches, and own several, but really, they’re 95% the same. Oh, and for the record, I can’t tell the difference between 1080 and 4K because I’m looking on my phone. And I am old. But I may not be the best test case, because I also watch old video tapes of candlepin bowling shows from the 1980s.
I picked up Brew’s collab with Worn&Wound a while ago and it’s as much as I love that watch, their new Metric definitely gives it a run for its money! Also, completely unrelated: I got the 37mm Lumeshot collab as an early Christmas present for my mom and she absolutely loves it👍🏾
Thank you for your incredible appreciation, support, and overall being an incredible person, Marc! From a fan, friend, and someone that continues to look up to you! -Jonathan
Thanks Jonathan!!!!! It's nice to know there's other good people in the watch world.
Brew+Island collaboration when?
Ye ye ye! @@hectornazariootero7687
Please bring back the all gold!
I smell an implicit proposal from Marc to Brew to be a seller / authorized distributor 😉
Good Luck to both of you gentlemen!
Couldn’t help but chuckle at the disclosure at the start😂
:)

appreciate that, thank you
Those colors remind me of Superman, kinda appropriate that it’s called the Supermetric. Super cool watch, I think that’s going to be my next watch
Maybe there's a tie-in
I love the watch. I currently own 2 Brew watches and I am very happy with both. I am tempted to pick up this model to add to my Brew collection.
The online photos look terrible and were preventing me from buying one, but this video has changed my mind. Your videos and photos really DO make a huge difference. Most micro brands photos online look absolutely terrible.
I think a lot of them are renders, sadly.
interesting, thank you!
🤯 love the look of these watches!!! I had no idea they even existed, but SO interesting and unique!
I still need a Small Square watch for my small square wrist. I really like the all black I hope they bring that back soon.
Look no further!
Marc, thanks for doing this. I love your enthusiasm for the work of another dedicated member of the watch community. Very interesting to see the three watches head to head to head. P.S. These watches look colorful and fun.
Flying airplanes, in my experience, always involves pouring coffee so there’s some crossover potential.
I like that you now do reviews! Please do more 😊
When it is convenient I will. Problem is I cannot always fit them into the schedule.
@ Thank you!
Mine arrived today…awesome watch. Got the original Metric Retro. So different from anything else I have.
such cool watches.
Love the 4K format, Marc. Love your sophisticated disclaimer graphics! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Great video, have known Jonathan a long time, he is the best! My Lumina Yellow is wrapped under our tree.
Have a great holiday, G! 🌟
@ you too and thank you!
Besides you being 100% legit Marc, you have a wonderful dry sense of humor.
Incredibly dry, LOL
@@islandwatch like a martini? hahahahaha

You know I thought I noticed an improvement in the video quality. Its awesome.
Great to see this video. Nice to see it in motion. I was actually interested in the titanium metric. Any thoughts on that one?
Fascinating design. Thank you for introducing me to Brew Watches.
Thank you for sharing Mark. Curious. How reliable are those movements ?
I love Brew and have 2 watches, of the 2 my Metric automatic steel is my favorite. I will be waiting for another automatic release for my third watch
Sounds like a nice bundle.
Great video thanks for showing it.
I can't tell if it's 4k or 1080p as I can only watch in 1080p on my phone.
Video quality looks great
I have the Super Metric in Burnt Orange. Love it!
That's a great color!
Great video, great brand. I have the Brew 8-Bit and I love it - so unique but also versatile. Next will be the golden Metric and/or the Crimson slate Retrograph.
Thanks for making this! Live the colors and styling of this piece
Mark, have a great holiday season (both in sales and personal life)
I put the 8 bit retro on a yellow leather strap and it’s my favorite!! So versatile and fun
that sounds awesome!
@ thanks I’ve enjoyed it! 😊
Had the pleasure to meet Jonathan at Windup and bought a retrograph. Absolutely love it. Also grabbed another Islander!!
That’s the way to do it!
I was planning to order the very first Brew, the Metric. It’s been in and out of stock the past few months but it finally did they released the Super Metric Electric Blue. I have #16 loved the aged dial. Very unique watch

LOL I'm glad it went to a good cause.
Not a fan of the aesthetics of brew watches, that said I do have huge respect for what they offer.
Yup, and I appreciate that comment.
Met him in Toronto. Very nice man.
Very cool! The 4K looks great.
thank you!
Islander X Brew? The Bundt strap looks so perfect on that watch.
One day.
UA-cam default is 1080. If you didn't choose 4k or 1440p specifically it won't render it.
Didn't know that.
Love the 4K
4k detail is exceptional
Marc, you are the best. Full stop.
wow, thank you.
The Brew integrated watchbands are hair pullers extraordinaire.
no issues here? And I'm pretty hairy (IMO).
I could clearly tell that this was recorded in 4k.. good job
Omg, it’s your fault Marc that I now own two Casioaks myself. Lol. I never would have thought about them until I saw you wearing the white one on multiple video wrists checks. Now I’m a huge fan of them. I love your videos, thanks!

Love love this watch!!!!! So unique and wearable
sure is! It will get a ton of wrist time.
I agree with you. Really like it. Just bought myself a Christmas gift from you. A Phoibos Delphinus with the Amazonite dial, Already have the meteorite dial one. Keep up the good work!

....And I don't have a Brew story yet, but I'm positive that won't be the case come 2025. See you guys in Chicago next year!✌️
That Formex is really nice.
I know, right?
Great application of asymmetry!
Great way to put it.
All three are cool. Had never heard of them before.
Loving brew lately. Honestly was not a huge fan at first although the respect was still there. At the time was just not the biggest fan of the case. But I will say it’s grown on me. Thanks for sharing Marc. Merry Christmas!!!! And happy New Year!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Do any of the Seiko VK has EOL function ? Tks.
I do not think so.
i did commented on the new camera in your previous video. just i commented much later after the video was posted

Best Brew yet - amazing watch
I’ll have one if it’s got a date function on it.
Wondering if you would consider carrying them ?
It's like Islander, not interested in anyone else carrying it.
A true blue brew review!
Now I want one too
great!
That's a really good looking watch Marc. Noice
Would that be a metric, imperial, or short butt ton of Islanders?
Long Butt Ton
Just from your introduction, I feel like Brew needs to be apart of my collection in 2025. Now, I have to finish watching....
Do you always wear 2 watches, one on each wrist or just for your videos? I like to do it as well but sometimes get drug for it if I post a picture. I just really like to enjoy all my watches though ha-ha
95% of the time, yes.
Very unique watch
Sure is!
The videos are awesome but I don't know if I can tell the difference on my phone. 🤔
I'm guessing many cannot.
Sorry Marc, you are preaching to the choir… good to hear anyway 🎉❤
This watch suffers from what I like to call Stock Image Syndrome. It looks cheap and toylike in the online photos but in real life it looks substantially better
very interesting.
Lol i've got a few Food Network cook books myself, Emeril, Mario Battali, Jamie Oliver.
Love the watch Marc
Like the one you got, it has running seconds, as a retired ER nurse, have to have running seconds. No, I don''t want to run the chrono 24/7
I get it.
The blue matches Islander logo
Is that why I love it?
Very original, like you said, you immediately know it’s a “Brew” watch.
Thanks for sharing Marc, I hope you and your entire Island Watch team have a great Holiday Season.
Thanks Francois!

Really enjoyed the video and I’m happy for Brew’s success but their aestehtic just doesn’t do it me.
That’s a cool looking watch
Ha, I always feel good buying from you in the same way! 👍
Thanks for the support!
I think there cool looking watches but already on the expensive side for a meca-quartz and then paying import on top just makes it a no go for me
When you said 'super metric,' i thought my prayers had been answered, and they had made a bigger version. Alas, that was not the case. Excuse the pun 😆
Haha, nice one. I see what you did there
Jody has the same reaction to Brew
Very nice!
Islander x Brew 😊

The very first time we tried, we invested $1000 and after a week, we received 4500. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
This sounds so good and i would like to be a party to this, is there any way i can speak with him?
Keep up the good work!!! First comment!!! 🎉

Yeah, for data use I'm sure.
The electric blue looks like a 1970's James Bond watch made for the CIA
My wife would make me sleep on the couch if I bought that right now
You are welcome!
