For all those doing this, I don't recommend doing 0.008 and 0.010. just finshed doing mine and it sounds worse than before. Got for 0.007 and 0.009 or tighter
Inspiring. I want to do a valve lash on my cb7 daily. Make sure it’s good. Thanks for reminding me. It was a pain to a smog in California. I had to completely cjean out egr system. I’ll make a video some day.
I drilled out the plugs on the runners cleaned it and tap them. Put a brass plug in them with a little rtv. Passed. I drove so long with expired tags. Just work and back. I could pull the trigger because the idols was on point. I struggled with idle for a while.
Hey couple questions: 1. Was the misfire when warm every single time or random? 2. Did the valve adjustment fix the misfire or did you find something else causing it? Thanks!
About to do this on my 1996 ex v4. She’s only got 115k but I don’t think the valves were ever done unless they were done when the OG belt was changed at 45k
I'm confused he did exhaust om cylinder 1 the intake for cylinder 2? Skipped intake cylinder 1? Did he rotate before cylinder 2 intake? Just trying to understand that's all
Would a bad valve adjustment cause the idle to surge Ive done all the basic trouble shooting as far as sensors replaced , iacv replaced ,vacuum leak checks I recently took it to get diagnosed and mechanic claims the valve adjustments are off and that is the cause of the idle surge and iacv code
It’s possible I guess yeah. It’s also possible that there’s a wiring issue with the idle air control valve. Should make sure you have the correct parameters on the wiring going to it. But valve lash is free if you can reuse your valve cover. I’d check it to be sure. Can’t hurt. It’s good maintenance.
I’m with you. I like looking at the belt

Yes 007 and 009 from what I've heard*

Aw sounds like a pain. You guys got some crazy restrictions over there.

I remember my accord egr was really clogged when I got it too.

I think this thing literally drives way better. Was very worth my time. Good luck!

He just showed the last one, #2.
