the guy who was playing the game is cute af and very relatable, because I was also constantly in awe when I started to play the game…still is, actually, it’s so beautiful and engaging, so I’d like to see him continuing his journey, I’m sure he’ll enjoy every second of it ❤

was fun watching you guys, the game is great. it's so much fun to explore and the world and the OST is just beautiful. the story is awesome too but it takes a long while before it really picks up, the beginning is quite meh. As this was my first gacha game there are a ton of mechanics I had no idea of and I got overwhelmed pretty quickly with new information, so just take it at your own pace and ask for help if you need it. especially concercing artifacts and weapons and such. enjoy. :)

The lip syncing is never actually good in any language, though it's originally Chinese. The only time the effort is put in to have mouth movements match dialogue is pre rendered cutscenes, then it matches well with pretty much any language.

@@david-wj330 Interesting, I feel like I noticed regular dialogue stuff where lip flaps stop early or go long. I have Chinese downloaded so I might try it out in some places, I like the language here and there over English.
They don't have this problem in HSR but I don't think they can implement that in GI because how big game now it is .
HSR uses AI to match lip flaps, its really cool actually. I dont see why it couldnt be added to genshin@@aliwi3476

You can actually do CO-OP Mode after reaching a certain Adventure Rank. Both of you can play in different accounts and visit each other's world. 😊

Hope you guys have fun, also just a warning, this game has a lot of text, specially side missions and there's no skip button. Some people will probably give you a hard time if you dont read saying that you'll miss the lore and while its true, dont feel bad if you want to click away th dialog, you should go and enjoy the game at your own pace.

This is one of my only complaints about Genshin. There is just too much unnecessary dialogue and padding.
RPG is something that could theoretically be applied to most games, you are correct about that. In video games it typically means direct control of a character during progression of the game. Even with this more limited definition, most games out there could still be called an rpg

i’ve been playing every single day for 3 years now and I love watching these kinds of videos. It’s as though i’m sharing the excitement with you guys all over again! :D New regions or parts of the map unlock every few months or so, and I can genuinely say it keeps getting better especially on the lore side of things. Glad to have you guys accompany us on the journey.
Edit: oh by the way! they’ve added a bunch of updates that make it way easier for new early game players compared to when I first started :)

To be far Chinese and Japanese rpgs are quite similar, I’ve heard a lot of people call this game a jrpg haha
I've become pretty experienced in the game so this is so nostalgic and refreshing to see someone play the game from scratch~ There's so much to this game!

Btw, Lumine, the character you chose, has a slightly stronger charged attack (hold attack) than Aether, the brother, but is slightly slower in movement speed. Negligible though.

Just a small corection, the game is made by a Chinese company, so the original dub is Chinese, not Japanese. Also I cant wait for more videos on this game! The story and enviroment just keeps getting better as you progress

each new region is better than the previous one, when you are in the last region and look back on the first region, you'll see how much better it has become
inazuma story wasnt better than liyue story tho... the fight at the jade palace was still one of the most epic scenes till now especially for me as Ningguang main xD
but yeah sumeru got alot more interesting ^^ didnt play much fontaine yet so hope it is as good as sumeru ^^

Also, switching characters will become a key part of the game. For example, using a fire or Pyro attack from Amber and then switching to your main character to use the wind or anemo powers right afterwards is useful in battle. Also, you can equip artifacts but don’t worry about them at this point in the game. Leveling characters is more important. You can level weapons too, but try to level and use four star weapons. You will not be using three star weapons very long. I hope this is helpful! I do not mean to share too much, but it is great to see you enjoying the game.

It's understandable why you thought it's a Japanese game, I thought so too at first. The Chinese company made it with anime aesthetics in mind, and it takes inspiration from Japanese games as well.

Watching new players give me the same feeling i felt when I first started the game, and that was 3 years ago. The surge of reactions newbies give off brings me a sense of nostalgiareminiscing of the time I was also a newbie. Be cautious:
1) This game is very addictive. I myself started this only three months ago and I am addicted to it.
2) Gacha- It will take your money eventually. I have thankfully resisted it until now. I don't know how much time is left until I am not
When a character you really want shows up and you don't have enough primogems... Once in a year opportunity at best so you best get them during the banner.

Gonna help you here, as a veteran in the RPG genre.
RPG(in video games), are games which heavy focus on story, character development and customization. Given the huge success of the genre, most games nowadays borrow elements from it.
However you can define an RPG by how much detail and importance each character's have within the story and how their actions shape the world around them. Only RPGs will allow your character to have that much influence. Western RPGs tend to focus on giving you the choices that will allow the character to change the world, Japanese games tend to focus on storytelling and give the character a well defined personality, in which you are merely the narrator or a spectator.

Sorry, have to nerd a little. You're right that you play some a character in every game, "rpg" tends to focus more on skills and power building, equipment choice, that sort of thing. Genshin doesn't need you to get super-infested in that, you can experience all the story content with a half-decent team.
