Thanks for the honest review. I think you can be honest and still respect the company that sent them. People will still purchase them if they want an anamorphic look. It's a good way to get into anamorphic without purchasing a really expensive lens for a mirrorless camera, or one that has no autofocus.

Do you need to use the macro + anamorphic to use the anamorphic lens?
Nope, the anamorphic can be used on its own.
Any settings needed to change when using nd on pocket 3?
Best to shoot in “cinematic” settings with the shutter speed double the frame rate. Will need to watch the exposure/brightness levels and possibly make adjustments.
Its Cool Mam...thanks for this great review of the Freewell lenses and filters for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3! I love that you can stack the filters and lenses together. That seems like a huge advantage over the official DJI product. I was wondering if you could talk a bit more about the image quality.
I thought the image quality looked really great - on par with what you get using DJI filters.

Well, there is not an official DJI macro or anamorphic lens…
I know this video is about filters but I really want DJI to do something about their long exposure shooting both on video and on photos. This is a 1 inch sensor we should be able to shoot with exposure longer than 1sec. I think this is a missed opportunity.

Hmm…I primarily use action cameras for video. But I think GoPro offers more flexibility in terms of photo settings.

I still hate the focusing with this camera. When on continuous focus i can decide what to focus on, foreground or background, resulting in it continually focusing/refocusing, making the footage useless. An example. If I'm i the distance and walking toward and past the camera, as i approach the camera and then past it, it is constantly focusing and refocusing. I don't always want to use active trac k as i don'tt always want the gimbal to move. i just want a still shot with myself moving in and out of frame. Any ideas? Also, the change from blur to focused, or vice versa, is WAAAAAAAY to snappy and needs to be MUCH smoother. My old Samsung s20 does a better job! Otherwise, great camera!
Single or centre focus
@@lonceyscairns33 but single focus only focuses on one spot so I would go out of focus once I've walked past that focused point. Centre focus? Where's that?
@whatsnottohike maybe, and in the focus settings I guess, I don't have it
@@whatsnottohike try tap in the background while in single focus, then walk into the scene to see if it focuses on you, and keeps focusing on you

Hey,
To clarify, Freewell already produces smartphone lenses with a 1.55x anamorphic ratio, so it's not a limitation on our end. Instead, the choice of 1.1x anamorphic for Pocket 3 is due to the camera's limitation. The Pocket 3 can't handle 1.33x or 1.55x lenses.
