I always go Crom... then start with a God that doesn't care about me. But in the mid game I will be a completionist and have every religion by talking to the trainers. And the cost is/was a little more than the 500... it has been a solid 6months since I PvP'd but your arch priest used to be consumed as well.
Yes he still does as well as the alter. I actually like the way you start your game. If I am playing RP I usually go with Crom. I have never done all the religions but it is on my to do list. Thanks for sharing!
If I want to learn and use all the religions, are there any restrictions? Like, do the altars have to be spaced apart? (Question posted during video). Really good to know you can’t move altars! Will be useful in planning base layout
You can pick up and move the very first altar but after you level it up once, you can no longer move it. It's annoying that you can't place them close to each other. :-) Other than that you can get all the religions by finding the priest and talking to them. Remember that once you use that Avatar of that religion your Altar and Priest will be gone and everything you had in it. This discourages PvP players from using the Avatars too much. :-)
When you accept the avatar of set does the altar and the shield go away? Meaning I have to remake it all over again? And what about my buildings around it will they be at risk ?
Yes, when you make the Avatar, which is the Snake in the Set Religion you lose your Altar and everything in it including your priest. You have to make it again from the beginning. You will not lose any of your buildings or anything else, just the Altar. The Avatar comes in the shape of a Medallion in your inventory so you can place it anywhere you want, such as enemy camps. :-)
Yes you can but you have to kill a priest in that religion and he will drop a tablet that will teach you the religion. There are some that you can find, like the Zath religion which is in Murun inside a building next to the waterfall where all the Merchants are.
You do not have to kill the religion teachers to gain the knowledge you only have to talk to them and learn the acolyte of that religion, you can then build your base altar for that religion and do it for each. @@GrannyGamester
@@msgig7080 I am not referring to the religious teacher you can talk to. I am talking about out in the world if you run across a high priest you can kill him and he will sometimes drop an item to bring back to the alter and exchange it for the religious knowledge or you can read it if it is a tablet.
Can someone please help me? I just got the game and I can't decide which religion to start out with. People keep saying ymir bc you get an axe that does cold damage soon as you start but I'm wondering if there's any other religion that does start out like that or is it just ymir? And if there's others what's the best? Can someone please write down the equipment or something idk how to word it so I can better pick
I would choose either Yog or Mitra. Yog gives you Purified Flesh = +40 Health and +14 Stamina. Mitra gives you Ambrosia = + 40 health and + 10% weapon damage. Both of these are pretty easy to get early game but as a new player to the game they are a good choice.
I have the following problem: I now have the Set Sanctuary, the Set High Priest & 506 Manifestation of Zeal, just nothing happens at my altar just a floating ray appearing in the sky. What do I have to do that I get the two extra things displayed? So protection of set&summoning of set. Thx
You have to have Archpriest thrall in order for that ability to show up. It has to be a Set priest too. If you watch the video again I show you the abilities will show up on the right top once you place a archpriest in the Altar. Just remember that once you use the Avatar your Altar will disappear along with your Archpriest. Good luck! 🙂I
Yes I do! My Grandmother would be turning over in her grave to see that! LOL Oooops I am surprised someone hasn't called me on that before now. Thank you so much Rombizio.Consider it corrected, you and my Grandmother will both feel better...and me! :-)
Thanks for explaining this stuff, the in-game presentation is totally impenetrable
Thank you so much P Z and I am glad you found it helpful. 3.0 has changed some things but not the Altars that I know of. Have fun!!
Haha the eyes of set I had on storage. Ran to my chest watching this and boom. On isle of siptah it's drops or points so this video helped greatly.
So glad it helped you out Mattay20! 😄
I think I have one in my Siptah fridge too. :)
I'd love an Avatar versus Avatar mode in the game....Great video as always GG!!
Now that would be fun! Thanks Sesimie :-)
I first read this as altar vs altar and imagined something like Capture the Flag. :)
Thanks for the guide! Working on building an altar and had no idea what I was getting myself into Lmao.
LOL there is a lot to them! Glad you found it helpful.

Why is my shrine not in my crafting menu I can't make one??
It is in your construction hammer, they changed it with Age of War.
