An insane "war vet" authority figure who talks to beheaded skulls of his enemies like a drill sergeant, confidently speaking rhetoric that's obviously not true whilst a terrified cameraman and an overworked fixer is filming him doing this. Almost as batshit insane as the actual game.
Soldier speaks nonsense that follows his own deranged sense of logic and skewed perception of reality, mixed in with weird snippets of actual literary knowledge. The Sun Tzu quote in Meet the Soldier is actually correct, and he quotes him correctly again in one of his in-game lines.. From his domination lines against Sniper and when looking for Merasmus, it can be inferred that he has read Tolkien but misremembers the name of every character, while very occasionally remembering Bilbo's correctly. He knows cyclops come from Greek mythology. Soldier's mind is a short collection of accurate knowledge flimsily held together by an endless vortex of worthless, verifiably wrong junk. I have a feeling Harry would be endlessly fascinated by him should they ever meet.
