This piece is from the Outer Wilds video game. The game has a great story line and I don't want to spoil it for you if you haven't played it yet. But, there are characters you meet along the way and some of these characters have their own music motif / theme. This piece from the soundtrack brings together those different themes and makes one combined song out of the different themes. One thing that made me really pay attention to the soundtrack was the fact that it has a VERY interesting instrumentation. Namely, the banjo is very prominent in most of the music in the game. It was really fun to hear an instrument you don't normally associate with video game music being used so well in this soundtrack. I hope you enjoy this cover of the Travelers Tune.

Hey, recently discovered this after playing the game myself. This game, this single tune, linking all the travellers together. It's a tune, connecting ALL beings together!
I don't know if it's intentional, but it's really clever how, towards the end of the song, you go from lovely summer green to an autumn yellow. Kinda like how the universe in-game only lasts for so long before collapsing on itself.
And then there's the sombre tune of the tuba, and the lovely clap of the tambourine. The piano, the plucking of the banjo and the low synth, like the universe itself is playing.
It's really nice to listen to this. To just LISTEN. Like it's nice to PLAY outer wilds. You're just existing, going along with the story that the song gives you.
Maybe I'm looking into this too hard. I just love the tune. Please, keep playing. Your sound is ASTOUNDING!
After reading your comment and focusing on the tuba solo, and then listening to the other instruments come in, I got a really strong impression that maybe this tune was inspired by Sigur Ros... At the very least, some elements of this song are very similar to some elements of Sigur Ros songs. They tend to use a lot of instruments. Their live concerts really feel like celebrations! Maybe it's just me...
Andrew featured you in their story on ig! This truly is fantastic. Feels like it'd belong in an anime or some kind of animated movie!

Absolutely phenomenal cover. I actually LOVED the Solanum solo on the euphonium. It added a warmth and depth and presence that helped to emphasize the part and it was a treat to listen to. And the three part brass chords were so sick! Thank you for putting the amount of work you put into this piece, it's really come together.

What kind of strings did you use on the banjo?
I used normal strings, just a different tuning. The tuning I used is gCGB.

I don't really appreciate how you replaced Solanum's track with a Brass instrument, it kinda feels like the delicacy and formality is kinda _gone._ Besides that, it's GREAT!
