When is best to put boning in just the outer layer of the wedding gown, verses putting the boning in both bodice and lining? Manufactores do both, I wondered when is best to do one or the other.
hi Victor , tbh , I really dont know the answer to your question 🙏
I have been religiously applying the bonings in the lining , and I only apply bonings on the outer layer if the client wants it visible for the aesthetic purposes.

I have a couple of questions! Why do you draw the circumference of the bust? That circle around the bust - why is that necessary? Also, I wonder why it is necessary to change the width of the front darts when you add 1/4 to them. Thank you! And thank you for this video!!
Hi Rose , thank you for commenting
- the circle around the bust pt is guide line when making designing the necklines , you have a clear perspective while designing the neckline making sure that the bust isnt too revealing , I need to do this especially when Im making wedding dress ( for Church )
- for the dart , my mistake is that I didnt put notes why I removed the added inches. The reason is that the bride wants her waist line more cinched and she can tolerate a bit tight fitting on that area.
If my client doesnt want it to tight , I just leave the added inches on the front dart as it is.

Hi Velarde, it allows the garment piece to be altered in the future. Leaving a wide seam allowance on custom fitted garments allows the side seam to be ‘’let out’’ if the garment is too tight 😊

Kung ano po ba ginawa sa pattern paper ganun din gagawin sa fabric like po yung pag fold ng dart and neckline
Hi Althea , yung dart yes same na gagawin sa fabric , pero yung small tacks na ginawa ko sa neckline is hindi mo siya gagawin sa fabric... dahil naka- close permanently na yun sa pattern..... ginagawa yun to avoid " gaping ".
Standard po ba ang 3" radius for bust?
Hi Tina , 2.5 if maliit ang bust , and you can go higher than 3 inches naman kung busty si client 😊👍

Hi Gierome , thank you 😊 kapag ang dress meron corsetry sa loob ang goal natin is to cinch the waist
yes tama ka na mababago ang meas. ng waist , sa corset kasi safe parin namam na bawasan ng ¼ to 1" ang waist
Just make sure to tell your client na babawasan siya and ask her kung ok sa kanya yung sikip while taking her measurements sa waist , let her feel yung sikip na ibabawas using your tape measure
Them kung ok kay bride , then go . May iba akong client , they can tolerate pa ang 2 inches na bawas sa waist 😊
