- I'm so happy that Thomas finally found happiness with someone!! I loved the movie so much, I went to see it twice it reminded me of how much I love Downton Abbey. Apparently there will be a second movie, I hope they won't screw their relationship up, Richard has so much potential and I need more scene with them together ! I'm also very glad they give us an amazing deleted scene!

I just realised....why Barrow kept a distance (romantically) and said "found a friend" instead of showing more affections/PDA ....because he's afraid of disappointment, either by losing him, objected to ridicule, or by being at risk of losing his job 😭 my poor barrow ❤️

The guy giving a precious pendant to his lover much reminds me of people going to military and giving their tags to those they love, as if it's their "hearts" and they'll come back to retrieve it. Or if they unfortunately can't go back then the lovers will keep it for them for eternity. Simple, yet a very meaningful gesture

I may not be living in the same time as Thomas but I really do feel for him considering the similarities in our lives. I’m glad they gave us some hope that Thomas will find happiness. Really do hope they bring these two back and give them a good storyline in the 2nd movie.

I absolutely love this, but I also wish there was more compilations of Baxter and Thomas. Like after O'Brien, Baxter was so refreshing and so good for Thomas. At the end what he wanted the most was a friend who could understand him, and she was that. I love Thomas just with friends. Is so soft in a Slytherin way.

I never liked Thomas, but then when I found out he was gay I immediately started to love him. I love that he has found some happiness. If there is a second movie I hope they show more of these guys. Thank You for doing this!!!! Haven’t seen the movie.....YET, but now it’s on my to watch list! We deserve, need, have rights to be included in typical standards of societies as those words in RED on the wall about sins said NOTHING about homosexuality being a sin! It’s in every species, long before the Europeans came to every indigenous people’s lands with enforcing their “new Christian God” and worship who & how they do or face tons of trauma, lives lost, innocent youths kidnapped, and much more absent learning other cultures & those having different routes w/more than 1 God/Goddess all have a Father God over them so they get to the same place!
Indigenous people viewed homosexuals (gay/lesbian/bisexuals) as “double spirited & special” & were revered and seen as we all bring our own uniqueness of varied forms of strengths & weaknesses, BUT they don’t focus on the negative/weaknesses like societies of today with these so half cups modern day Christians we see today with still, judgments, reserves, fearing what they do not understand instead of being the brightest crayon in the box and researching themselves to learn more about things as living in fear is a) giving up given amount of control OVER YOU to something/someone else & b) NOT TRULY LIVING!
Brave, knowledgeable, educated, enlightened, evolved absent living in fear of truths being told “artists” presenting/reflecting truths are some of the mightiest, strongest, enhanced individuals that others in societies LABEL as “the starving artists”!!! It’s such a crying shame for others to wait to see TRUE VALUE in artists WHILE THEY’RE LIVING instead of worrying about what “monetary value” of pieces of artists projects are sprouted from some of the most beautiful minds, hearts, emotions, and souls of the.....CREATIVE, UNLIMITED, ABSENT FEAR, and BOLDEST of BRAVEST souls to EVER grace walking & sharing the same planet as the GREEDY!

Downton Abbey 2 is announced for December 2021. But as fa as I know Max Brown (Richard Ellis) will not be a part of it. What is really sad.

In the UK, The Buggery Act of 1533 during the reign of Henry VIII and convictions were punishable by death.
