I actually have an idea if you plan on doing a yarn hair reroot again! Unravel the yarn before rerooting it! It'll be like using the right amount of doll hair, but in this case, the unraveled yarn has a perfect amount for rerooting! Also, it makes it easier to thread the smaller needle, without having to work extra hard with the thicker needles!

My Froggy Stuff---Beading needles are much longer and there are also specialized doll and household needles than might serve your purpose better/more easily. Even Walmart sells them, but you can also find them at Jo-Ann's and sewing machine repair/parts/service shops.
i love the new disney doll heads, but i HATE their stiff bodies. i didn't know they were such an easy swap with the made to move dolls. i'm gonna try this :D

If you want to reroute dolls head and she has blonde hair what I do sometimes is color it with permanent markers to dye it to make it a lot easier and less time consuming
