Memes aside, Metástasis is not as bad of a show when you realize that it was made on a third-world-budget on 1/5th the time that BrBa was. Even Vince Gilligan himself seemed to like it. BTW, this is the last role of Frank Ramírez, the actor playing Hector Salamanca, as he died shortly after. Fly high Héctor🕊🕊
Of course it was cheaper and took less time, they didn't have to do anything other than film it. Writing, storyboarding etc takes a lot of time
Honestly I see nothing wrong with it. You can see that they put their heart in this project, and the acting isn't bad. Might even watch it to brush up on my Spanish.

To be fair, they did a pretty spot-on job of re-creating the original show scene for scene.
And for what I assume is a very low budget show, it does a pretty decent job at the big special effect heavy moments

I'd watch them all. I need to see Monkey, Saul Bueno, Jose Rosas, and Walter Blanco in every language.
Also love that Saul and Jose's name's translate to Saul Good and Jose Pink (/Rose)
Lastly, I think you found the one way Breaking Bad's script could've been better, and that's if they would've given us Mike's IPad arc.

I’d recommend going to imdb and reading all the episode descriptions there’s whole plots about Mike wanting an iPad Gus joint weezer and stuff at one point Jesus resurrects but Allah is also cannon to the show and they meet and Walt is doing something different every time another plot is that Saul wants to adopt Jesse so much goes on
I've seen a lot of Colombians praise metastasis just because of the fact that it made a lot of Colombian people aware of Breaking Bad and brought a tone of new fans to BB.
Metastasis looks like one of those parody shows in GTA V, only that it's live action and not animated.

The reason the subtitles are so weird is because of grammar. You know how your French teacher could tell if you used Google translate? It's because other languages have different grammar rules, so the words can be in different parts of the sentence. German is another weird one, but that basically means if want to translate it, you sometimes have to just turn it into English rather than directly translating it

@@Frixed My advice would be to research a little about the grammar rules for whatever language is being used so you have a better understanding of when things sound off, and also stay away from Google translate for longer sentences and complex phrases
@@influx5821 I did stay away from Google translate, I lived in Spain for 9 years and I am currently studying in England working at a grade 7/8 for my GCSEs
@@Frixed Ah I see, so my advice would be don't translate it word for word. Translate the meaning in the closest possible way. For example, if it would be weird to use a certain word or word order in English, use your knowledge of English to think of how you would say the same information in English and what would sound normal

Except he didn’t do it for just the medical bills. He was shown calculating money he wanted to leave behind for his kids when he’s gone, not for medical expenses. Not to mention Walter would’ve been more broke on your “free healthcare” because he’d lose more money in taxes than if he purchased a healthcare plan in the US. On my salary, calculating your taxes for healthcare, I’d actually lose more money. It’s not “free” as you all love to lie about.
I gotta say, whenever someone translates a language, it’s never 100% accurate. Like sure there’s words that directly correlates to words of the other language, but when it comes to full sentences, it’s not quite accurate to what the person is truly saying. It’s why the “I am the danger” sounds so choppy in the translation, but in the actual speech, it’s fine. If you’re bilingual, you’ll realize that translating full sentences will never be exactly as it was originally. Also this was made for people who only/mainly speak Spanish, but want to watch breaking bad and understand it. Sure they could use Spanish audio on the original, but if you try it, it doesn’t sound right at all. So instead they just remade it entirely. This is also why they chose people who are Hispanic and why they don’t exactly look like who they’re supposed to actually be, and another reason they chose that cast was because they’re Hispanic in the first place, you wouldn’t expect seeing mostly Americans in a Spanish movie afterall. And of course this was made on a real small budget, which is why the quality of it is pretty doodoo.

Yh as a bilingual person myself it was a bit weird seeing them clown on the subtitles when the sentences made sense in Spanish. And yh I dont think theyre trying to make the characters look similar (apart from walter)

As a teen who apparently had and still has the entire show on Blu-Ray, It feels a bit unusual to see the show get memed now in 2022 alongside Better Call Saul.

Tell the truth, we the Spanish People only discovered badgers thanks to this video. Really shocked us, that thing. We all got together last week to have a chat about it and we decided the translation for it in Spanish is "tejón" (pronounced te-HON, emphasis on second syllable). Cheers for the new animal, lads.

This is crazy timing I literally finished watching breaking bad today.
Honestly, from the clips that I saw in this video-The acting wasn't even that bad, it was actually pretty decent (obviously Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul were unbelievable) but I think any attempt to recreate such an amazing show will never go well if the source material is goated. However, I will say that the dialogue in this version is atrocious.
Being a biologist I cringed at the way metastasis was said lmao
