    BEN RAWLENCE
Mae cyn-ymchwilydd i Human Rights Watch, Ben Rawlence yn awdur o dair dan o waith ffeithiol, Radio Congo: signals of hope from Africa’s deadliest war, City of Thorns: Nine lives in the world’s largest refugee camp, ac yn fwyaf diweddar, wedi’i ymchwilio’n graff ac yn hynod o frawychus The Treeline: The last forest and the future of life on earth. Wedi’i seilio ar ryngweithio dynol o empathi a dirnadaeth, mae gwaith Ben yn ein harwain i’r straeon a’r syniadau sydd ar gyrion ein profiad, ond bob amser yn elfenol I’n hoes. Bydd Ben yn darllen o The Treeline ac yn sgwrsio gyda’r Athro Owen Sheers. Dilynir gan sesiwn Holi ac Ymateb gyda’r gynulleidfa.
“The Treeline is wise and considered, offering both klaxon warning about the state of the earth and beautiful hymn to its interdependencies.” Nation.Cymru
A former researcher for Human Rights Watch, Ben Rawlence is the author of three works of non-fiction, Radio Congo: signals of hope from Africa’s deadliest war, City of Thorns: Nine lives in the world’s largest refugee camp, and most recently the shocking, urgent and acutely researched The Treeline: The last forest and the future of life on earth. Grounded in human interactions of great empathy and insight, Ben’s writing takes us into the stories and ideas at the fringes of of our experience, but always at the centre of our times. Ben will read from The Treeline and be in conversation with Prof. Owen Sheers. Followed by a Q&A with the audience.
