At first i tought that sung's necromancer powers were underwhelming but over time it REALLY grew on me and now i think its one of the coolest powers in anime/manga/manhwa
It is overpowered. I typically use an assassin/necromancer or warrior/necromancer build in games that allow such classes. The ability to destroy opponents and then raise them as loyal servants is like a constant steam roller that becomes overwhelming. Bosses rarely have a chance against such tactics.
@@mutanthybrid3466 Yea and the fact that necromancers only weakness is their physichal streinght and durability and sung has an assassin build to counter that weakness just makes it more overpowered
@@KutaIe Exactly. If you concentrate on negating the weaknesses and capitalize on the strengths, basically you can ignore kryptonite at that point. One of the better systems that works well with is in the elder scrolls games, like Skyrim.

before entering this dungeon . they pointed out that jinwoo did not do daily. and last episode with sister was an update what time is it and showing the clock. this is to remind us that daily quest will be bugged out jinwoo and saves him from this dungeon..
I love reactions like these where they pay attention to all the details and talk about the show instead of just shouting and overhyping stuff for no reason, i don’t know why they get more views than these kind of videos but oh well.

glad you enjoyed this amazing series, ive never been hooked and binged a manga as quickly as I did for this one, it was just incredible to me.
also some clarification on the Jeju Island stuff, without spoilers, for anyone who needed the clearing up. The S ranks were not there to fight or raid the island, they were looking to scout and gather information before the official raid, so that is why we weren't really given much visual into that, on top of that the difference in the ant was a wing, I will let everyone figure out what that could mean.
this season was great as an adaptation and made for a great introduction to the world, looking forward to seeing season 2 with y'all
I don’t really think the daily quest timeout was the system giving him cheats. It’s already established since the beginning as to what happens during the daily quest penalties and the full recovery rewards too. The creator knew what he was doing and already incorporated these technicalities cleverly beforehnd to have Jinwoo make maximum use of these lucky breaks. I like it even if it seems basic.
Never would’ve imagined the Shadow Monarch in a million years. I was going for Assassin all this time. Although the manhwa readers make a big deal of the difference between Nacromancer and Shadow Lord, I’m yet to find a clear difference. Maybe it’s something explained later on.
All in all it felt like a setup season for sure. I can’t wait for him to level up to S class and do that cliche scene you were talking about. Kick some ass, save the girl. Good animation. What more is needed for a power fantasy?

Wonderful reaction, even with incorrect speculations up front. They were well thought out, but the author went another way. Keep speculating!⬅
1) I listened to the novels which I got from Audible. "Igris" was pronounced the way that sounds good to me, "ee griss".⬅
2)The penalty was not a sudden, critical decision from the system. We had plenty of foreshadowing. We saw Jinwoo remember before entering the job change gate that he hadn't done his dailies yet, thinking he would just do them when he finished. And in episode 11's flashback to his sister and her sandwiches, the clock on the wall was approaching midnight. So while I agree with you that the System wants to keep him alive, it followed its pre-existing rules and schedule in sending him to the penalty zone. Yes, it was still an example of plot armor, but not outside the scope of what had been revealed.⬅
3) The ant in the post-credit scene wasn't moulting. It was one of the evolved ant with wings which had flown to the helicopter. Clearly there is an implication that the ants won't be confined to Jeju Island for very much longer.⬅
4) It has been announced that Cour 2 will come out this year and be streamed on Crunchyroll. I've heard that the director (?) plans on 6 seasons, which might be enough to cover all 8 books in the series (assuming they are all double cour). There are really 7.5 books, with the last half of the eighth book being several canonical extension stories. I don't know if the manwha includes that material or not.
Firstly there was a lot to the demon's castle manhwa only showed important bits and rushed it.
Secondly the last war and the backstory of the shadow monarch had more to it than showed in manhwa.
The illustrators health was detoriating during that time so he had to meet ends so don't worry novel has a lot of juice

Cerberus ambushed Jinwoo so he was just unlucky and dropped the Teleportation Stone.
The knights got lucky because he was near 90 on the fatigue meter which drastically lowers his stats. We’re talking cognitive agility, strength and stamina to name a few of the drawbacks.
it's Ee-Gris. Keep the last part of how you used to pronounce it, and adopt the first part of how you think you heard Jinwoo say it.
Also, while it does seem like the system is grooming Jinwoo, but i don't think it's "intervening", more like "guiding him" or "giving the tools ahead of time to succeed" IF he's smart enough to use these tactics properly OR to cheat the system itself. The whole "penalty teleport" thing wasn't the system intervening, but Jinwoo didn't finish his daily challenge (same as episode 3), and it was even hinted at by showing Jinwoo's sister close to midnight preparing a snack (clock on the wall), so this is all being shown for us to see as foreshadowing, and not really "deus ex machina" of the system to say.
Like, the system telling jinwoo "hey, kill these fools" is less about the system intervening but more about the system making it CLEAR as day to jinwoo that "you can't lower your guard or allow yourself to be weak here, they wont give you the chance to make that mistake, so here's an excuse to commit to the bit, you need to accept that as part of your conviction moving forward mmmk?"
And the post credit scene is basically the writer hinting at the fact that the S-rank dungeon break that happened with a lot of S/A/B monsters that we saw in episode 1, it used to be contained on an island using geographical borders. If anything, humanity hasn't been wiped out yet because that island was isolated. If that same dungeon break happened in the middle of a continent, humanity would probably have been in an apocalyptic state 10 years ago (or however long that incident happepned, maybe 3+ years ago at least at least for the third raid attempt?)... So these creatures that were isolated from humanity, seem to be evolving over time, basically Darwinism at its finest, and they are growing wings to get OFF the island... and now the world is at risk of an apocalypse because they can now fly out to the rest of humanity, off the island.. .tha's actually what they spotted on their radar and thought it was a ship or plane at first..nope... killer ant beast...that was flying.
Ι think that people keep forgetting that Jinwoo keeps leveling up even during his fights. They just forget it because during the fight we don't see every window with each level that shows that. Window just uppears at the end of the fight. So, Jinwoo at the end of his fight with Igris, was stronger than at the first minutes of his fight, so he was stronger when he caught Igris' sword, but it wasn't just that. He did it on purpose. He was unconcious sitting on the throne to lure Igris to come to him, make him think that he is done for, waiting for the right opportunity to put everything to his last stand. So, during a fight, he keeps leveling up the whole time.
You are the first reactor to notice that the system helps Jinwoo with the intervenes...you caught that really well! Nice intuition with what is going to happen! Nice and realistic thoughts, given the new facts of what Jinwoo can do with his new job as a Shadow Monarch!

Nah, he only levels up after he kills enemies. The only things that level up through usage are the skills.
It wasn't shown in the anime, but the reason Jinwoo managed to stop Igris's sword is because the gloves he was wearing had a special attribute that nullified all damage to his hands (not his arms).
@@Omnis.satanica.potestas_omnis pretty sure that's what the commenter meant, he levels up during the fights as he kills enemies, not just receiving all the XP/level ups from those kills after the fight is over
Igris is completely fine to say, it's always gonna be pronounced differently in japanese, so in the end one would literally have to change every name :D

That is just the thing.. all of the rewards, such as the teleportation stones, are contrived to give Jinwoo the perception of control over his own destiny. In reality, it gets snatched from his grasp at the last minute by the very system that gave it to him because the system has other plans that really do not involve giving Jinwoo any real choice in the matter. That is just my two cents on what we have seen so far. This is all just a big test to see what Jinwoo will do to use opportunities to his advantage. It does not care about his talents or abilities, it is looking at his actions based on challenges set against him. That is why it pushes him to the edge so much. As long as he does not give up, he will win. What we see at every major situation where he faces death is the "time out." Time runs out and something happens to change up the situation in Jinwoo's favor. In the double dungeon, the flames timed out just as the statue swung its sword, Cerberus' rage timed out just as it had Jinwoo on the ropes, now, he gets a penalty time out just as a knight is swinging its sword at his head. They are all opportunities that Jinwoo has to recognize and capitalize on.
The last scene with the giant ant was of an ant with wings, allowing them to expand off of the island.
Jin woo is not even close to S tier yet. At the end of this season. He’s barley entering A rank, not ready for jeju
