I’ve got Angelina, Blue Spruce & Red Carpet...all as ground cover & they’re all amazing! They’re practically NO maintenance! I’m in zone5 (Chicago) & they come back stronger every year! To help them spread faster..I just trim the tops & sprinkle the cuttings into any bare spots & that’s it! They’ll root in no time! Next year they grow & bloom right along with the rest. They always look nice & tidy...And they grow fast! Sedums are the very best ground cover & they’re FREE!

Was able to purchase some Lemon Coral Sedum this season..NEW to my ground cover assortment of Sedums. Thick, Short bunches of beautiful Bright Green leaves... tipped w an occasionally yellow. WILL spill out over a pot OR show itself off on a rockier, rough terrain. Thank you for this video. I DO wonder if
bringing some potted Sedum inside, would thrive under a grow light.?!?

Great info! What is the name of the hanging sedum that touches your arm around the 25-26 second mark? (It's leaves look like tiny little bananas.) Thanks.

I propagate my sedums from cuttings. It's easy. For best results growing sedums you need regular garden soil. I know you can get some compost from landfills for free. These are not cacti, so they thrive best in actual soil.

To me it looked like phlox. I planted it thinking it'll do well under a base of a tree. A neighbor down the street has something that looks like this under their tree. I didn't want a true flower around a maple. Looks cool around the base in topsoil & clay buster mulch. Mine's the yellow green kind.

Do you know any good pesticides for removing the white pest which usually destroy this plant?

If you want sedums to spread, should you add any mulch? If so, what type of mulch? Does well draining rock mulch work best?

How do I prepare sedum ground cover I received in mail. It is long dry sticks with a thick stick at the end. Should I soak them before I plant them?

Reem Bedwany Hi! I’m no expert but can tell you from experience that I planted them outside in a large flower pot last yr in zone 6b. It was plant them and forget em & they’ve thrived.

I’m in 7a and have never grown them before. I put some in pots I’ll bring in and 2 I planted in my garden. I figure I have a 50/50 chance next summer!
