This is not financial advice and do not make investment decisions based on what I am saying. This is just my opinion. It could compete in the sense that some SAP customers may be more inclined to use a first party solution from SAP. In terms of the technology Foundry is an order of magnitude better. Everything from Foundry's Spark tools, to it's code repos, version control system, CI/CD etc make it far and away a better option IMO. SAP is also a first class citizen in Foundry with native source connectors (including write back) and archetypes like HyperAuto. Also the NPS score for SAP has traditionally been terrible, and if you look at SAP Analytics Cloud tools and UI, you can see why. What year is it again? So yes it can compete but I think the impact will be negligible IMO.
