I sought out this interview based off of the words of Cavario in his Part 1 interview with Al Profit. I've never heard of Roger Bonds before, but was so impressed with his moral code to stand up for whats right EVEN IF he was doing illegal things. It was great to hear he woke up to being a proper father to his son. Kevin's arrest and incarceration in Africa is unspeakable and heartbreaking! I'm speechless that another country could treat someone like that just because he's an American!

Probably one of the best vlad TV interviews I've ever listened too. So salute to this Roger and his son and the nightmare he's going thru over seas. That's got to be the worse feeling being in foreign land and having to swallow your pride and obey a corrupt court system while watching your boy being the one going thru it. I'm gonna keep it real I don't know if I could stay strong and keep it together all these years as it slowly I mean SLOWLY starts to progress. So salute to Roger and his fam I'll keep them in my prayers that his boy will be able to live his life back home in the states.

By ur logic they could've also waited for him to come back so they could have the same meeting on "home turf". Lol. People leave their "home turf" to commit these types of crimes every day. You're giving these guys way too much credit. They're not very smart. The son ain't a saint either. He had 2 gun charges. Why would he even leave the US knowing he was on bail? Plus he left with a felon he just met in jail. The guy likely convinced him that it was an easy job and they clearly underestimated the Namibian legal system. Not a coincidence that 2 felons known for gun play go all the way there, meet with someone and then that person got killed right after they met with them.

Chief Inspector Felix Ndikoma on Monday dropped a bombshell during the murder trial of two Americans when he revealed that the deceased in the matter owed one of the accused millions of dollars.
During his testimony in the trial of Marcus Thomas and Kevan Townsend accused of the assassin-like murder of Andre Heckmair in Windhoek in January 2011, he revealed the explosive information. According to Ndikoma, he received this information during a meeting with Townsend on 14 September 2011.
He told Windhoek High Court Judge Christie Liebenberg that Townsend summoned him to the Windhoek Correctional Facility on that day. He went there with three colleagues and Townsend told him that he wants to give him information about the matter at hand. According to Ndikoma, he immediately told Townsend that he is not obliged to divulge anything, but Townsend continued to spill the beans.
First off, he said, Townsend told him about a plan by Thomas to escape from the facility with the help of a correctional officer. He further said that Thomas informed him that he ordered a chemical that will break down the iron bars within six to eight minutes, Furthermore, he said, Townsend told him that he is also working with another inmate only identified as “Roger” and that N$30 000 will be paid to the correctional officer who is going to assist them. In addition, Ndikoma said, Townsend informed him he was not at the scene of the murder, but that he was at the guesthouse they were staying in and that one of the cleaners could confirm that. However, Ndikoma stated, the cleaner could not confirm Townsend’s claim.
Ndikoma further claimed Townsend told him Thomas was using a false name and age. Also, he said, Townsend told him Thomas said he got rid of the firearm in a riverbed they once used as a toilet and that he would take the police there in consideration for bail. Furthermore, Townsend wanted to know who the prosecutor was so he can assist further, the officer stated.
According to Ndikoma, he was also informed by Townsend that Thomas informed him he already broke into the residence of Heckmair during 2010 with poison, but that Heckmair got spooked and did not enter his residence. However, Ndikoma stated, during a follow-up interview to record the admissions, Townsend refused to cooperate.
The State is alleging that Thomas and Townsend travelled to Namibia with the express purpose of killing Heckmair because he was involved in a relationship with an ex-girlfriend of Thomas. It is also alleged that Thomas paid US$10 000 for bail in respect of Townsend who was in custody on gun charges in New York to travel with him for that purpose and that they imported two gun barrels and a silencer from Finland.
Thomas and Townsend are facing one count of murder, one count of robbery with aggravating circumstances, three counts of contravening the Ammunitions Act and one count of defeating or obstructing or attempting to defeat or obstruct the course of justice. The State alleges they killed Heckmair, who is the son of the owners of the Cattle Baron Steak Ranch, by shooting him assassin style in his head on 7 January 2011 at Gusinde Street in Windhoek.
It is further alleged that they robbed Heckmair of his cellphone and wallet containing at 100 Swiss Franc, and that they imported two 9mm pistol barrels without a permit or alternatively possession of the 9mm barrels without a licence as well possessing a 7.65mm pistol and ammunition without a licence.
It is further alleged that they removed a notebook from police possession after the police seized it as an exhibit and/or burned, destroyed or otherwise dispose of some of the pages in the book with the aim to defeat or obstruct the course of justice. The trial is continuing and the accused persons are in custody at the trial awaiting section at the Windhoek Correctional Facility. The State is represented by deputy prosecutor general Antonia Verhoef, Thomas by Salomon Kanyemba and Townsend by Mbanga Siyomunji.

I remember this dude used to come around my block because he was seeing a girl in my apartment complex. We always had this thing that we would stare at and try to intimidate outsiders. My friend told me who he was because he went to Jr. High school with him. Let's just say I'm glad I didn't mean mug him.

MTC call log linked the American accused to the murder - State Witness
    Samuel Shinedima
NAMIBIAN Police Detective, Chief Inspector Frans Kantema said that on the day of the murder of Andre Heckmair, they approached MTC to request an itemised bill on the number of the deceased, and that the itemised bill led to the arrest of the two American nationals.
During the examination in chief conducted by the state, Kantema testified that when they arrived at the scene on January 7, 2011, the deceased's father informed them that the deceased had been receiving calls and texts endlessly. This, according to Kantema, prompted them to request an itemised bill from MTC to determine who the deceased was talking to.
Marcus Thomas and Kevin Townsend, two American citizens, are now in court facing murder charges in connection with the alleged murder of Heckmair in January 2011.
They reportedly identified the number that was in contact with the deceased after receiving the itemized bill on the deceased's phone, but the number was no longer reachable at the time.
They did, however, receive call logs for that number as well, and were able to pinpoint one number from the call logs. When the officials dialled that number, a man who described himself as a businessman, according to Kantema, answered and that they asked to meet him. Kantema recalled how the man directed them to his office.
When they came at his workplace, Kantema claimed, the official informed him that they received his number from a call record of a certain number that is needed in connection with a murder investigation. The businessman recognized the number as that of American nationals who rented his vehicle as he operates a car rental company.
"We were handed a copy of one of the driver's licenses, which belonged to Marcus Thomas. On our visit, the businessman phoned the guest house to check about the individuals who hired his vehicle and was told that they were last seen at the guest house at 13:00. We provided our contact information and told him to call us when they arrived at the guest house." Kantema testified
Kantema added that at 17:00 on the same day, they received a call indicating that the two accused men were in the guest house, and that at least members of the force were dispatched to the guest house.
"When we arrived, we knocked but no one answered. After a while, accused number two (Townsend) lifted the curtain, and I showed him my card and urged him to let us in. He shut the curtain, and we could hear some movement in the room, implying that they were busy destroying the items we were looking for. "After a few minutes, one of them opened the door," he explained.
Kantema indicated that the accused one (Thomas) was fighting with the officials and was eventually overpowered, adding that the two were initially caught for being in possession of cannabis, but were later charged with murder after new information became available.
