For my company, the Founder and CEO roles are intertwined. I have a big vision and a strategic direction that I want the company to go. Those things are being outlined in the business plan. Both roles are currently comprised of dual responsibilities. Its important that I keep both until it's time to pass it off. Until then, I plan to bring on board a COO, CFO and CIO. I definitely think having a board is important and as the company scale and grow, I'm thinking about expanding my role throughout other entities of the company and hiring Presidents for each entity.
