Totally agree!!! Moved from Monterey to Las Vegas. So we live in Thailand 6 months and Vegas the other 6 months. It was a no brainer. We own our home free and clear. My wife’s son lives in our house in Vegas so the house isn’t empty for the time we are in Thailand. He pays all the house and car expenses too
I was born in Sacramento and I agree, it is so expensive here. Luckily I have my own business and my wife works for the state so we are living pretty well. We have gone all over the country try and yeah, we could live way better somewhere else but we miss the weather here a lot. We definitely pay a weather tax. And Sacramento is 100 miles away from Lake Tahoe and 100 miles from the ocean. We definitely pay a premium to live here and we are ok with it,
I grew up in Carmichael and Fair Oaks. The one thing I do really miss is being able to drive to Lake Tahoe. Many great memories of Tahoe. Thanks so much for the comment.
